BOARD OF TRADE Posted September 5, 2013 Share Posted September 5, 2013 I have downlosded the "Your ModeL Railway Village" advert,and I couldn't help noticing that the various "threads" on here and elsewhere were more about buying up all available 1st Editions to sell on E Bay the coaches or to use them as a project etc. What about the kids? They are the future of the Hobby,not you or me. The advert and the Model Railway looks more than half decent to me and whilst I wouldnt buy into the series it is,,at the very least,the sort of thing that might attract a new generation and perhaps put a Train Set at the top of a Christmas "wish list". I suspect the target audience is somewhat older and possibly had (or wanted) a trainset when younger. As they have re-filled the display at my local supermarket a few times now I don't think any child who wants the first issue is going to be disappointed if some train enthusiast has purchased a few for conversion or whatever.
