  • 2 months later...

We now have a long range weather forecast for the show which predicts that it will be colder but dry.

Last year the January show had a maximum daytime temperature of -1 C.

The July show saw a maximum temperature of 29 C.

I think it's a fair bet that this year the temperature will be somewhere between those two extremes.

Looking forward to tomorrow not long now. This maybe the last chance to see Pallet Lane (at least in my ownership) as it is will be for sale after the show and I don't currently have anymore bookings for it.

It's not negative - it's positive. I like rain. It's much better than snow.

Is certainly is but does have the downside that cars get stranded if fields are used for parking and all the punters turn up like drowned rats dripping all over the exhibits.

I'd like it to be dry with a pleasant cool breeze, if you can dial that on the expo manager's direct line to the powers that be, then everything will be perfect. ;)

Quite a good show and pleasant atmosphere - usual problem with parking. Plenty of half car width spaces even 2 among the vans - so many inconsiderate folk parking badly or no marshals in control. Any way found a place in the end - worth the effort. I hope a full car park equals maximum door receipts.

I had to be sympathetic with a couple of the layouts - definitely showing signs of wear and could do with a refurb or retirement. But otherwise good. Trade at the level expected for the show, a few bargains on RTR boxes but what I wanted has a long way to reduce in price - not that desperate. So all in all a good day out with nothing spent except entrance fee.

One quick glance at the show guide brought the conclusion that I could spend the 50p better elsewhere (sorry no track plans - no purchase)

That's odd. The guides had plans in when they were printed. I wonder how they disappeared from the copy you looked at.

Mind you, the first few pages didn't have any plans because none of the traders whose details appeared there had sent me track plans of their stands.

It was busy. Attendance was up by 149%.
