They do look a little odd with the 1/2 wasp stripes on the buffer beam imho. Much prefer the BR livery. Great NCB atmosphere there though.

The NCB had them for longer than BR and got more use out of them!

One from the "Where are they now?" file. This is D9551 being used to relay part of the Deeside line in Aberdeenshire.

 

 

You can find a few more of her here, but unfortunatly, the landscape and fences prevented me from getting any side on pictures.
