WRMSOliverM
I'm so excited about this!!! Being a KWVR volunteer, the RC pack is a must, especially with Oakworth in the mix. 30-325 also looks particularly mouthwatering!!

Nelson Jackson
They look fantastic, might get the "railway children" one. They are also releasing N gauge ones, http://www.Bachmann.co.uk/details.php?id=161&vis=2
SDJR7F88
These set and packs are good value too! £129.99 RRP for the Railway Children set and £149.99 for the WW1 set! Any idea if they are limited editions though?
RMweb Premium Downer Posted January 31, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) There's also a 25th Anniversary set retailing at about £250, but no indication so far of what's in it. Edited January 31, 2014 by Downer
Matabiau
I thought the Midland Compound 1000 was an NRM exclusive? Has the agreement between Bachmann and the NRM now expired?
ThaneofFife
Never saw these coming. Wonder what 37 will come in the highlander set. liking the farish cumbrian mountain express too.
RMweb Gold Ian Hargrave Posted January 31, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 31, 2014 Smart marketing.....WW1 Ambulance train ...to complement Hornby's Star troop train, perhaps ? Hope they sell well on this theme,at least, and not go the way of the Olympic offerings.A cheery start to the weekend after a dismal, wet Friday. Bachmann do have a habit of springing surprises.Good news I think and a shot in the arm that's needed right now.

RMweb Premium cnw6847 Posted January 31, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 31, 2014 I wonder if the green and cream coaches in the Highland set are different names to the ones in the Model Rail set?
hornbyandbf3fan
The WW1 N gauge one looks smart, which raises a question; does anyone have any news on the 00 gauge warflats?

County of Yorkshire
What excellent and intuitive sets these are. Reasonably priced, a good range of mostly recently new models, and apt prototype selections. Very tempted by the Western Wanderer and the Ambulance Train. Am I right in speculating that the 'Midland Railway' coaches of the latter will be brand new tooling?
Andy Y
I really like the idea of these which are aimed, as collector editions, to take the products to a different market through gift shops and museums (there's a long list of possibilities) and the art work for the packaging has a great retro/nostalgia feel, I was really impressed. The plans for added extras are a nice touch and I have to say I wouldn't be upset if someone bought me one as a gift.
tractor_37260
Thank you for letting me know, i'm quite tempted!!! Although AFAIK not yet advised, I assume going by the RRP of this set @ £294.95 the loco will come fitted with Bachmann's new "budget" sound, and not a Loksound 4 ? SDJR7F88
Has anyone found about how many will be produced of each set? Or if they will be produced to the same numbers as normal stock? As I always find it hard to run Limited Edition stock . Must say the WW1 Set and the Railway Children Set are looking extremely tempting! Top marks to Bachmann! JaymzHatstand
Is the Hall in the Shakespear Express set the new-tooling I wonder, one would imagine it isn't the partially modified version that wad released last year! For a new model Hall, two Pullmans and a MkI it certainly presents excellent value! Something I shall certainly be considering! Cheers J
