Discussing food with our soon-to-be four grandson this morning.

His thinking went like this

Eggs are good for you, they help make you strong.

Cakes are made with eggs.

We need some cakes to eat.

I like it, obvioulsy being brought up well.  I say that Marie Antoinette is my culinary hero.

I loved a scene in last week's Outnumbered:

Father: "Churchill didn't do well at school but became Prime Minister and won the war."

Karen (always the best part in the show): "If he had worked harder at school, perhaps the war would have finished sooner"

My Mum talking to one of my brother's daughters:

Grandma - "What's that on your fingers? Is it plasticene?"

Grandaughter - "No, it's not."

Grandma - "Is it Playdough?"

Grandaughter - "No, it's not."

Grandma - "What is it then?"

Grandaughter - "I told you - it's snot!"
