Tempfix Rich Papper Posted January 10, 2015 Tempfix Share Posted January 10, 2015 Looks fantastic. Will have to make an effort to see it out and about. Anything with NSE 50s gets my vote!
briantwigley
Superb layout, just been through the thread and seen the progress. I especially like the warehouse you've built, it looks suspiciously like the one I'm going to build for my own layout, now that I've seen it Great work Ryan
P.C.M
Hi Ian, Some nice pics, the layout is looking great the fascia with NSE signs looks very professional I think you will be getting plenty of show invites. Cheers Peter.
RMweb Premium Temeraire Posted January 12, 2015 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 12, 2015 As for Stafford a plan is afoot for the Saturday with myself and pitbull1845 confirmed so far and 3 seats to fill. Update: Arnington also now confirmed just two seats left! Further update: PaulRhb has also confirmed so only room for a small one left Phil! Beresford Junction
Good news - just heard back from the UK and I can come, as long as we can pop in to Sainsburys en-route for a quick macchiato. Off to pick up my early edition of Charlie Hebdo on the Champs Elysees. Phil

RMweb Premium Temeraire Posted January 16, 2015 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted January 16, 2015 Evening all Well throughout the evenings this week I have been painting and repainting both the hardstanding area as well as the end loading ramp as I just can't seem to get final colours that I'm happy with! I think I've cracked the concrete colour of the ramp now but I think another lighter shade for the hardstanding tonight hopefully. However, I currently have in the oven a dish of front garden soil to be used as more ground cover once its completely dry and then crushed up! (Don't worry, she's out at the moment obviously!)
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 16, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 16, 2015 Yeah I thought that and avoided the question of why the oven smelt funny later
Melangoose
Hi Ian Layout is developing nicely, look forward to the next social visit to Basingstoke. Have you got a spec sheet for the layout yet, if so might be worth taking a copy to Stafford, for you to give to Colin. Regards Nigel
bescotbeast
Blimey this has really come along since I last looked at your thread Ian, with the buildings and details you've added it's really come to life now. Well done. Simon
RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 25, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Popped over to Ian's to see progress and it's really close. Lots of nice detail and plenty of operational potential without looking crammed. There are some nice photo opportunities as well especially if he can get one of the whizzes with cameras to blend different focal lengths.37 on Silver Bullets 50 runround, note the ground signal clears too. The photos may be a bit dodgy as they are on the phone but it gives an idea of how good this is looking. RMweb Gold PaulRhB Posted January 25, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Well no pressure on me to get Lulworth looking that good Also note those who are clicking 'craftsmanship' on my photos, it's all Ian's work I'm just a minor technical advisor and finder of things for the idiots guide It's going to scream out for the photography talents of Andy or Chris N by the time it's been detailed, there are some great scenes to catch. Jintyman
Great work Ian, coupling with the fact that all the buildings are scratch built, and the timescale it's been progressed in, superb!!! Jinty ;-)
