shaunthesheep277
Well what a HUGE let down the trader from Warley isn't replying to my emails and I've completely received the wrong items altogether That means I have instead of having three specially made yard lamps, I have some ground signals and a stop/go signal Not what I needed now I'm stuck so I might have to find some others I know not to trust them making an order again
shaunthesheep277
C.R Signals to the rescue so the yard lights aren't going to change, they'll be the same as last time

shaunthesheep277
Well... a lot has happened over the Christmas period and the past few weeks I basically ripped up the track, cut out some holes and put in three electromagnetic uncoupler's underneath and I must say they work perfectly So they won't be a hand of god all of the time and it for me does help with running sessions, it seems to me more fun now to do To look at the layout it is a little bare with the scenic pieces taking up to remove the track but it does look as if nothing has changed When there back down I'll have a little session and try to make a V.T I'm getting better at this electric lark

shaunthesheep277
Things are coming along nicely the track is all ballasted, weathered and patches of oil/diesel spillages As you can see it doesn't look any different Mind you there is a static grass mess at the moment One of the yard lamps are in place and also the safety barrier along the trackside Other news I like to light up some vehicles now and again and stick them on ebay, not for profit at all before anyone shoots me I enjoy making them and I enjoy layouts with vehicles lit up on them so I have a load to do Here's one done ready I think the cars themselves go for about £4.50-£5.00 Cararama 1:72 scale but they look 1:76 scale to be fair I stuck some on before for about £7.50-£8.00 each which I thought was fine (some charged a hell lot more) and they went quickly Last time I sold some the profit went to more cars to buy, it's only me in the production line that holds the process all up I have to be in the mood to make them but when I do I enjoy it so I'll have a rest from the layout and have a power charge at the weekend

shaunthesheep277
For those who don't know me I live in Hull or to give it's full name Kingston upon Hull You know that city at the east end of the M62 oh yes that city seem to be top of basically every bad report, league table etc etc etc Anyway every other day I see the Drax Biomass wagons (average about 24 wagons each time) pulled by a E.W.S or D.B Schenker class 66 along side Hedon road So when I read about Hornby producing some for Drax in the Hornby magazine (the two are seperate by the way) I couldn't resist pre-ordering one of each from Hattons £83.00 a pop I don't think anybody could by a full rake but what the hell one of each will do With any luck with Hattons updating us on events they'll be out Thursday Just to say I have one is really pleasing for me
d winpenny
I am getting bought one might have to treat myself to the other, they do look a great models but the cost I agree is prohibitive I would love a short rake, if a few of us buy two a peice we could all meet up and 1 run a rake lol David

shaunthesheep277
I've had to stop working on the layout for the time being for the threat of moving house so the spare room is all tidy Because of this Lodestone is at risk of been dismantled and no more I'll let you know what happens

shaunthesheep277
Entering the yard will never die off I've had the layout too long to let it go but it would be a shame if Lodestone is no more Hoping it all pans out soon

shaunthesheep277
Entering the yard is progressing nicely and is almost ready to be seen by all at any future shows just a few bugs and a new sign and it's ready Lodestone is no more as I have one layout already (this one) to show off and I feel there's no need for another I have though started on my home layout to play trains on so there no pressure or a need to rush as with this hobby a layout could take years to look as good as say Everard Junction or Glebe Road Junction But it will be up there No video yet as there's a few bugs The magnets are working but one of them doesn't seem to be inline correctly (never mind er) it's nearly there I think that's all for now

shaunthesheep277
Just a little something I've being working on from the past two weeks Now with a final coat of varnish drying I'm wondering where to put it What do you think?
