Ordered my diamond from Marcway…straight on one path 5ft radius on the other.

Cheating I know.

Nothing wrong with that Phil, although I do think you should give track building a go, I’m sure Mike would love to see you have a go to 😉

I feel your diamond pain Paul, they are even worse when interlaced/overlapping and have to be built in situ to match existing geometry whilst situated in a cutting with scenery and buildings getting in the way!

Mike.

That does look rather impressive though Mike 😉

You young un's, no spirit of adventure!

The bit you did runs perfectly well enough mechanically, as to your interpretation of elastictrickery,,,,,,,,,,,,!

Was my wiring that bad? 🤔😂

To be honest building track in EM was no different to any other I’ve built (not going there regarding P4) for me it was having to re-wheel everything it was just to much hassle at the time 😕

One good thing about the mrs doing uni work is I have to keep out of the way!  Three hours later and ELJ is coming along nicely.  One thing I have learnt over the years track building is that I find it’s easier building the wing rails and the blades as one then saw once installed, I do make an initial cut beforehand but only halfway through the rail.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, finally got some modelling done today, second point is nearing completion and I’ve built the blades for the first of the training crossover points.

Just came across this cracking video which might interest a few people, an old 80’s cab ride along the North Mersey branch, ELJ is at around 7 minutes into the video.

Finally set one modelling time!  Managed to finish the trailing cross over so that’s all the point work on this board complete apart from check rails which I started fitting today, so once that is done I’ll start on the catch point.  ELJ also seen its first loco movement today so here’s a video of that and a layout update.
