Some good music there the Jim Croce one had kind of slipped out of my mind but Sundown is a perennial favourite. I do hope the words are not appropriate.

Hopefully, it won't hit you too hard, Tim.

My dose back in the autumn laid me low for a couple of days but I was well on the mend by the end of Day three.

The trite advice of keeping well hydrated and taking paracetamol seemed to help.

All the best

John

Not really, could have been a number of things, but a local shop or café for sure.

Oh dear. Not good, Tim....not at all. I must admit to being a bit twitchy on the flight home last night. One chap behind us had a particularly persistent cough which got one thinking. Elsewhere, I see Al, ( Barryten) recently copped a packet whilst in Holland.....

Today's plans to hit the ground running regarding Project 'S' took a nose dive when we arrived home at Chateau Sheep at 4am after a delayed flight ( avoidance  of flak over Malaga apparently ) and what was believed to be a successful attempt to escape and evade the Bristol Clear Air Zone after leaving the aerodrome.

This was then compounded by the Memsahib, who is ordinarily world class at Egyptian P.T, bizarrely awakening at 07.30hrs Zulu time. Then there was the fact that the catering department had failed to replenish the blue top prior to embarkation leading to a marking inability to supply morning coffee to the required S.O.P.

End result..........carnage of the first order requiring an unforseen sortie to the shops.....that in itself was tricky as we immediately noticed a slight temperature imbalance compared to yesterday's breakfast.........actually some 24° less this morning.....on reflection, shorts and t-shirt was indeed unsuitable.

Oh.....and during this morning's debrief over a later than anticipated breakfast, my decision to whistle the Colonel Bogey March whilst queuing to enter the departure lounge waiting area was " not good " and probably contributed to us being "carefully selected" for an additional "random search" by the authorities prior to boarding the flight........

So no trains today.

After all the fun at least you got home in one piece and had a bit of relaxation before throwing yourself back into devising further modelling schemes.

Only the idea of a Bristol Clean Air Zone confused me.

Last time I was there it stank of weed and fried food....

Morning all,

It's all gone a bit Rapido hereabouts. A few examples of their SE&CR 6 wheel brake van have landed, both their own and a couple of single veranda types from Rails.

Truly exceptional and worth the money.

Updates may follow.

It's a minor miracle that Bristol's local authorities have managed to even organise anything so coherent as a clean air zone...

A bit like farting, perhaps?

I've always thought that Bristol's authorities couldn't create a bad smell in a sealed and locked room, even after many dodgy currys and several cheap lagers...

I've always been rather taken by the American downhome phrase:

"Couldn't find his own bee-hind with both hands and a flashlight...."

Evidence of the obesity crisis in the USA.

Indeed, but the phrase is from a good eighty years ago and I think that the obesity crisis went global in the 1990s.
