Deltic Man
Good Evening All Well the layout is no more. I have had one of those moments in the past 6 weeks which has led me to scrap the layout and to start again. I have removed all the track and had the boards amended by Dave at White Rose Models so I will add some pictures and also give you some progress updates this week including a run down off what the new layout will be about including a replica to scale proffessionally built depot of Wigan Springs Branch. Nik Still will be loads of locos though!

Deltic Man
So a busy week on the layout I have rebuilt the helix in its new home and also with help from Dave he has mounted and fitted ID backscenes to the layout. Also track layout has been completed as a rough layout plan witht he main theme a freight yard and of course the depot based on Wigan. In order to finish the depot a large triangle is being built for the layout by White Rose Models Further updates tomorrow Nik

Deltic Man
Good Evening all Well progress has been made with the track on the top section laid and point motors added (although not wired in yet). The layout has a freight yard and a loco stabling point as well as a network rail depot. Finally the photos show the triangle which leads onto the helix and will allow me to turn the diesel locos without a turntable or hand of god! The engine shed is yet to be laid out as I have just have the triangle fitted to house the shed (photo to follow) Enjoy Nik

So here we are a couple of piccis showing progress (also thought I would put a couple of pictures of some of the locos in the MPD sidings Nik

Deltic Man
Good Evening All Well here is the latest addition there will be 3 panels eventually. The panel is mdf with 4 layers of paint the final coat being plasticote. Then I lined the panel out with the interior to be laid out and then the wiring can commence. I have pondered about how to wire the points up and in the end I have gone for the tried and tested method of stud and probe. Thank again Nik
