  1. How about a traverser on a slope? The rail tracks are level, but the traverser rails are angled to match the height difference.

  4. Thanks Stu. Such a lamp is what gave me the idea. Problem is, my wife rather likes the ones we have I could have a look for a secondhand one though. The ones used by architects in the 1970s are really good but have become retro fashion here so tend to fetch high prices. Thanks Nick, I am looking forward to knocking some provender wagons etc about. I seem to remember that fodder for the GWR's stables was brought in via the system rather than purchased locally. Need to check up on that though.

  6. Thank you for that. I'd have replied but didn't get a notification! Uxbridge [High Street] closed to passengers in 1939 so wasn't really a contender ;). It can fit a 6 coach DMU - 2x 117s.

  7. A little more progress this week. A dose of Clostermans grey etch primer from their quality rattle can.... Then airbrushed with a 1970`s tin of Precision GWR wagon grey......... A recent stock of the same GWR grey is a darker shade.......

  9. An old angle-poise lamp might be cheaper than a new monitor stand. I have no doubt this is going to be another delightful layout.

  10. I like that. I'm sure the good citizens of Uxbridge wouldn't have minded yet another GWR terminus Sounds like it can accommodate some reasonably sized trains too.
