Firsthand experience that the NHS is this country's most valuable asset.Instead of getting Easter eggs I got multiple heart attacks, which came as a bit of a shock as up to now my health has been excellent. After a few additions to the plumbing of the ticker I'mnow firmly on the road to recovery. I cannot speak highly enough of the care I got in Southampton General Hospital given by people from all four corners of the globe, all diamonds in the crown that is the NHS

There we were sitting at the little table having dinner out on the front porch when this humming bird flew right up to my face, looked me in the eye and proceeded to feed from the crabapple blossoms in the vase. Those tiny critters can really cause quite a draft!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much passion and enthusiasm for our hobby as I did earlier today stood a few places away from Pete Waterman holding up his Guinness World Record certificate for the world’s largest portable model railway. Truly heartwarming stuff.

Don't worry about reaching old age, it doesn't last long.

Had a blast at NEWGOG 2024 today! 🚂 Despite being primarily an O Gauge show, there was a fantastic variety of layouts on display. A full video showcasing the layouts which were on display is available here.

For some years my definition of getting old has been that it takes ten minutes to answer whenever anyone asks how you are. It now takes me fifteen minutes.

New video showcasing the TT Scale layout of Cardigan Station, presented at the Mwldan Theatre by the Cardi Bach Railway Society. I have seen pictures of this layout in the past and was really happy to finally see it in person.

You could quite comfortably get three trucks in here so why not 3 layouts? Got the HiFi system pumpin out all my favorite rock-n-roll, aircon, bottle of cabinet on the go etc. There's just got to be a better name for it than the Man Cave.
