David Todd
That cliff looks amazing! As does the new facade of platform 1, Dover Priory. Thanks for the early Christmas present Lee. There is just enough space left on this thread, for you to elaborate the build from scratch with early photos.

freebs
I hope the footbridge isn't damaged - that took months to build, let alone paint!
David Todd
I hope the footbridge isn't damaged - that took months to build, let alone paint! Well, after unpacking the box and carefully, re assembling , everything seems to be in order, on the layout. RMweb Gold Alister_G Posted December 12, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 12, 2016 It's no wonder it took Lee so long, all those houses to build and weather! Al.
runs as required
Seriously though.... I've looked long and hard at those two pis in #5584 above and I'm blessed if I can tell which is real and which is the model. dh

Andrew F
I really did think a handful of those shots were real even after a second look. Brilliant to see the new station building in position and to see work is progressing on both sides of the layout. What's the job next on modelling night? sandwich station
Putting the pic of the footbridge in with the others, will have people thinking it's at Dover Priory Dave.

Those really are superb photos mate, it's getting very hard to distinguish them from reality. Brilliant work, absolutely captures the look and feel of the prototype. Al. David Todd
Few Photos,I took this morning, after wiring up to a battery for testing only. My Thanks goes to Freebs, once again, Many photos and mails passed between us,in 18 months. Atm, the canopy and backscene, has been built on a plinth by Freebs, I have to remove this and fit it to my ready made platform, once I have removed the old photo back scene of platform 1. A few weeks ago, after unpacking, from it's journey, via post, from the Midlands. tjf4375
Those last few shots - just wow. I travel on the Southeastern network a lot and those night time shots, particularly 1492, capture perfectly the atmosphere of waiting on a platform on a rainy January evening for your train home. Really amazing and inspiring work, thanks for posting.
freebs
Those Night time shots really do look amazing. I was very impressed with the LED strips. Took a bit of rescue work, but they're properly looking the part there. My work aside, those rail shots looking into the tunnel are very hard to distinguish from the real thing!

freebs
Very handy, that - building the real thing using a model as the inspiration Excellent!
jcredfer
It's very neat. ....... Isn't that what is really meant by a prototype model? Very handy, that - building the real thing using a model as the inspiration Excellent! I've always wondered why modellers consider a full size loco/wagon/building was built as a Prototype for the, much later, purpose of planning for their model ..... Regards J Ducks, runs for the door ........ ....... bother, it's raining out there!! .......
Andrew F
Looks like you can't walk down the beach and cross the railway anymore. The old order just before disaster:
