It's amazing what you don't notice till you're told... Looks good though - and I'm liking the column format for the sub-forums!

  2. Thanks Michael, It would be unfair to adjust any of the parameters at this stage particularly as they've appeared in print and not just on here. The 20" x 11" was designed to facilitate certain things (witness ovals in 'T') and limit others (reducing the temptation to make 4mm+ 'work'). I know that's not the answer you're ideally seeking though.
  3. I'll look forward to seeing Combwich again this weekend Chris. I've edited the post to embed the video. To embed a youtube clip click on the 'Media' icon (at the far right of the line of symbols) in yer Wysiwig and paste the youtube url in between the tags. It should then show.
  4. has tidied up the subforums to give a reasonable balance between clarity and space.

Sorry Andy, but it was just fine the old way!! Call me Mr Luddite if you will!! But excellent work on the drop-downs...just the ticket!!

  5. I can rustle a table up for that Hugh; certainly.
  6. It can be under the 20 x 11; yes.
  7. Please see http://www.rmweb.co....e-up-announced/ Date: Saturday 02 July 2011 Venue: St Leonards Sports & Social Club, St Leonards Works, St Leonard's Ave, Stafford ST17 4LX Open Hours: 10.00 - 16.00
  8. The bottom of the baseboard framing Gary.
  9. Noooo, the maximum base size is 20" x 11" unless you want your layout to perform on a 1 in 4 incline?
  10. No reason why not Stuart. Thanks.
  11. Sorry; I'd missed that. That's perfectly permissible but there'd be bags of bonus points for making that operate!
  12. Technically no; would it be possible to make a chimney sectional for example so it can fit within it? I know that may sound harsh but most of the questions in here have been how to get around any limits and if I relax in one way it could mean someone being a little bit more liberal than another which may secure some advantage which would be unfair.
  13. saw that the Doctor got involved with a bit of 3D printing last night.

Do you think they were 4mm or 7mm scale? But I think each one was missing a bone to exact replicas! lol

Thats the problem with sport these days. Too much messing around at theme parks and not enough training. Rollercoasters indeed!

Rollercoaster? Well it made me sick a couple of times, glad to be safely off it now!

  16. Only if they were two separate entries as you'd be exceeding the 20" to display the diorama.
  17. And I'd like to thank you too Colin for sharing South Pimlico with us over the years on the site and at that first members' day in Derby. I know the feel of the layout has inspired many around here and you were a vanguard of BR(S) grot around here and it's only now the mainstream manufacturers are catching up. Here's to your next one!
  18. looks forward to another day of sticking needles in his eyeballs tomorrow.

  20. Thanks Trevor, I'd be interested to see that snap of D414 if you ever come across it again on the web. I've never seen a snap of 25kV's being dragged; interesting.
  21. 11 inches is 27.940cm, that therefore is the maximum. However my ruler won't measure .06cm
  22. is testing a different layout on the Forum Index page; clearer but longer.

I thought it was just another IE6 bug appearing...

  23. The 20" x 11" should be an independent unit capable of being displayed as such. You could, of course, integrate it into a larger project after completion. Hope that helps, A
