  1. It was a pleasure to see Highclere in the flesh Julia and thank you for bringing it along. I know it's a real hit for many and the finesse of your skills including the funkiest control panel I've seen is superb. We've been lucky to see it and I wish you well with what will become a regular exhibition favourite.

  4. is really glad at the moment he changed the MD venue. If I hadn't I would be busy sweeping out a filthy engine shed and chasing people to move rolling stock right now.

Have a look at the ad at the top of every page for the Members' Day; it's not north and it's not south.

My dad always advocated not stopping drinking-you only get a headache when you stop ;)

  12. It's still in the queue and was always going to follow other projects that have taken longer in the queue than originally forecast.
  13. An update on the Kernow Thumper has appeared in their weekly newsletter:
  14. Details TBC
  15. has just completed the 40 Welcome Packs - not much else I can do now until the end of next week. Apart from go and check the Spittal Brook again for Friday night. :)

It's not shouty, it's singing, like me, just more in tune and with fewer swear words.

I don't believe they have yet but I am very encouraged by the potential for this model having looked at the LMS twins and talked about Hatton's testing thereof; link that to Model Rail's Sentinel's performance as seen so far and I'm quite optimistic about this.
  21. Having seen these in the flesh when I met Arthur down at Taunton I have to say they're even better in the flesh with real radiance to them. A stark contrast to Arthur's exceptionally good weathering on the wagons themselves..
  22. Don't tell everyone but Albion Yard may be breaking cover into public for the first time quite soon.
  23. I'm surmising which posts you're referring too and I agree on the loco side of it although there's some other decent elements in some of the pics. It's probably an opportune time to note that this topic should be about realism of which there are some cracking examples on this very page.
