Kato GEX sets and the future
cornish trains jez replied to backofanenvelope's topic in Swiss Railways
Don't those Co-op containers run on the standard gauge network with the postal trains? If they do, I might get a couple of the wagons just to get the containers to add to my rake of Lgnss postal wagons. -
Hi, i watch way too much YouTube. Specifically loads of channels dedicated to Swiss railways. The two I find the most interesting are these two. Lots of freight trains. There are loads of others but I won’t list them all here. https://youtube.com/channel/UCWkb5f5Ivj3ivoBMTjLnFVg https://youtube.com/c/Thomas1980 Hope these help. Best regards, Jeremy

Hey everyone, Just seen the new Fleischmann catalogue released for 2022. They are producing the Re6/6 in various guises. Watch this space! Lots of other items too, Re460 with Bahn 2000 logos, some re-runs SBB coaches. Link here. https://www.fleischmann.de/uploads/service/downloads/Kataloge/20220114_FLM_Neuheitenkatalog_2022_DE.pdf?fbclid=IwAR3HINQMsfzEG9l3jqdot8aNGiCdj2I7af6yl2-Ik4_wma7Q-d8poDvV6KU Best regards, Jeremy

cornish trains jez replied to Keith Addenbrooke's topic in Swiss Railways
Looks great and a nice plan with a few timelines to achieve wiring and track laying etc. It's good to have a focus like that to get bits done. Very much looking forward to seeing this progress and will follow with interest. Best regards, Jeremy -
Hi David, Happy new year! That 92 looks sensational, very nice work my friend! Best regards, Jeremy

Revolution Trains proposes Class 92 in N
cornish trains jez replied to Revolution Ben's topic in Revolution Trains
Morning all, I think a class 90 would be a big seller. With the class marching on under freightliners umbrella now (albeit in one of the most awful liveries IMO) there is plenty of scope for liveries and eras to be covered. AND, there are also plenty of WCML layouts out there and also those who don't have a layout that covers the line to purchase one "because it's a nice a model and I want one"! I think if Bachmann were going to do one, they would have done by now. The Farish model is quite clearly still in high demand as they are selling for crazy money on eBay, some fetching over £100, and some of those the older Poole models, which is non too shabby. I have no use for my class 92 but I bought one as a its a stunning model and if I want to run it on a Swiss based layout I"m going to do it, rule one and all that! Perhaps one to consider for the new year Mike and Ben..... Merry Christmas all! Best regards, Jeremy -
I will start this layout again one day....

Nice maroon coaching stock in the background there. -
Superb work all round there David! Best regards, Jeremy

It's sad to see the 60's just dumped like this. Most of them probably only saw 10 - 15 years service, they could have all been in service still today had they not been side tracked in favour of buying in new locos with similar haulage power, bit of a waste of money in my opinion. Hopefully a fair few will see service again someday, but in the meantime, it's great to see photos of those still giving great service on the mainline.

Hi, Just been catching up on your last few posts. Layout is really coming along nicely and I’m looking forward to seeing how you build up the layers of snow on the Bergun side. Keep up the good work! Best regards, Jeremy

Its crying out to be modelled!

Afternoon all, Just thought I would add a photo of some latest locos I've just added to the fleet. Re620's from Hobbytrain in SBB Cargo and Xrail Alliance liveries, very nice indeed and very pleased with them. These are the versions with the air conditioning. Have a good weekend. Best regards, Jeremy

Morning Andy, Hope all is well. This video just popped up on my YouTube feed and thought you may find it of interest. Best regards, Jeremy

Figures look great now. The Fleischmann Ae6/6 is a lovely loco, look forward to seeing some video of it running around the layout. Best regards, Jeremy

Hi Keith, I agree, the railings look fine to me. A couple of dabs of super glue would stick your figures down just fine and then you won’t need or see the tacky wax. Best regards, Jeremy

Fabulous modelling Andy! Best regards, Jeremy -
Hi, Great selection of stock there! Look forward to seeing the layout progress. Best regards, Jeremy

Evening all, Bit more progress on the canopy. Now finished and primed. The edge will be painted in to the same red as the rest of the building. The top will be weathered and the underside sprayed to a concrete colour (not that it will be seen very easily!). Few progress shots. Starting to really come together now! Best regards, Jeremy

Thanks John for the update. I used to live in Saxilby in the 80's when I was a child and remember the oil trains powering across the level crossing into Lincoln Central. Best regards, Jeremy

Hi John, Hope you are keeping well. Have you made any further progress on the layout? Best regards, Jeremy
