    Thanks for letting me know. I have far too many locos to go DCC now, so I have never bothered learning about what does and doesn't work DCC/DC.

    No problems Jeff. We don't all spend 24/7 on RM Web - work, hobbies and life get in the way. Looking forward to running this when I get back.

    Nick, Are you running this with the chip fitted (ie it has set itself automatically to DC mode) , or did you remove it? Elsewere on RM Web I was advised to just run it on DC and it will be fne as the chip has an inbuilt DC mode. I look forward to running mine when i finally get home. Many thank for an inspiring post, and to Andy for the photos from the weekend.

    I have seen mine briefly and returned to sandy places. How do I remove the DCC chip? I will be running this "old school" DC

    It's no better nor worse - both and most others still needa month or two to calm down before application - only llama/alpaca manure can go straight on.

    What a fantastic layout. Many thanks for sharing. It has taken me nearly all night to read (pages take a while to load out here). Well worth the frustration.

    So nearly 2 years since I started this post, the title really was correct after all. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh when I get Home in March. 50 months since I ordered it! (Then I'll be asking how to take the DCC chip out, and asking who wants to buy it!!)

    If the front frames resemble a banana, they are faulty. If Hornby designed them like that they should shut up shop now.
