  1. Afternoon all A bit more ballasting done and also started to add the greenery/dirt to the track - some experiments with various colours/paints etc. As usual, I couldn't resist playing trains right in the bit I'm working. Phil
  2. Great snapshot Nigel I think I might have spotted a new addition at the end of the docs - where does that go to? Phil
  3. Time to build the fuel storage tanks (using the Knightwing kit). The tanks were built at the weekend - now time to cut out then add the supports. Small children with sharp knives and glue - what could possibly go wrong
  4. Thanks Peter Good news - the de-humidifier seems have done the trick - I suspect something to do with the slightly damp weather over the weekend :-0 Phil I know, I know, but I've got multiple eras to cover. Phil
  5. I would have got on with some modelling but I'm still waiting for the ballast to dry - not sure if I got my water/PVA mix too weak but taking a long time to dry. I've fired up the dehumidifier. In the mean time - another addition to the roster....
  6. Hang on to your hats - 37405 the roller-coaster view....
  7. Was thinking what I need is a nice yellow NR 57. Where am I going to get one of these days....
  8. The good news was I managed to pop down to Alton Model Centre at got the ballast. The bad news was I got distracted with work this evening and didn't actually get any of the ballast deployed. Tomorrow is another day.... Phil
  9. 14lb of ballast putchased - hopefully enough?

  10. Evening All A bit of paint applied to the new roof tonight, and plan is to WFH tomorrow so might sneak out the the model shop and replenish the ballast supplies. Phil
  11. You know how I'm a stickler for realism and they follow in my footsteps. Phil
  12. Evening all Shock horror, I've actually been doing some work on the Junction - a bit of ballasting on the approach to the loco works (until I ran out of ballast) then adding a roof to the second low relief building. And when I turned my back - looks what was going on - nice use of 66101 with sound!
  13. Oh no - that's another '37 ordered!

One can never have too many 37s

These things are easily done. There never seems to be an 'are you sure' button when you want one.

      Number 49 arrived this week...

  14. I'll have to put a not in my diary to attend next year. Phil
  15. I do promise to do some modelling one of these days, in the mean time, look what turned up in the post while I was off on my hols... First - the next of the Atlas Stobart series - non-powered and quite a few bits missing, plus slightly larger than the Bachmann ones - but still good to sit in the sidings. Next - the Arriva DVT to finish off the WAG Express service - all I need to do now is fit another DCC chip...... I was also going through some of my old photos on holiday and worked out that apart from building the long blue building, not much has changed at Beresford Junction for nearly three years, so I think I need to crack on Phil
  16. Hi Bob Just checked through my photos and all the MOD ones I have are on here already. Phil
  17. Looks like a good idea. Looking forward to seeing it installed. Phil
  18. I know I was only there four hours on Sunday but took advantage of the sun. I didn't take much video and I suspect what I have will end up on the cutting room floor due to "inappropriate language" in the background.... Phil
  19. Thought it was time for a few more photos - from last Sunday
  20. I finally fitted the Legomanbiffo sound chip before I departed for work this morning.
  21. Some serious engineering work going green on today......
