  1. Hi

I may be interested in the layout if it’s still for sale.

What are all the dimensions of each board ?

Are the boards manageable by one (70) year old person

As I would wish to exhibit the layout how easy is it to erect and take down for exhibitions ?

Does the layout have legs or lighting ?

    regards

    Terry

      Hi Terry,

It's provisionally sold- waiting for the buyer to be able to come and view. I'll let you know if it doesn't work out, however the boards are not equally sized and the longest is something like 5' so not very manageable; I can just about move it myself but I'm relatively young with long arms and I struggle so I suspect it won't be suitable for what you want. With two it's fairly easy to set up. It has no overall lighting (although a few of the buildings have provision for interior lighting) and uses keyboard stands as legs which means they don't get in the way when it's on cupboards at home.

      All the best,

      Matt

  2. Wonders why in the gents urinals at Michaelwood Services you can't move for advertisements highlighting treatment options for erectile dysfunction whilst in the new Gloucester Services such problems appear not to exist...

Dunno, but I'd suggest seeking medical attention if one can't get from Michaelwood to Gloucester without needing to "pay a visit"!

  6. Pretty confused here! Do I move to N gauge and start a small fictional modern era layout? Do I stick with OO and buy a Dapol Class 59 and A4 to add to my existing stuff? Or do I move to O gauge and buy Dapol's amazing forthcoming Class 08?????

Not 0. We don't need a set of threads whinging about the lack of AC electrics in yet another scale.

Not a huge fan of the place myself if I'm honest. Friends that live there love the place. Mind you I'd probably rather be out in Bristol centre than Gloucester.

  12. Why do some threads turn into a chat zone that has nothing to do with railways, just looked at on and 54 pages of nothing other than silly comments.

Frankly I think it's nice to find the occasional thread where people appear to be enjoying themselves instead of yet another whingefest. Plenty of serious threads if you don't like it.

Whatever you find in the cupboard on pasta. Cooked with a very long handled spoon to keep away from heat. George Foreman type grills are great until you shut your friend's hand in it while drunk.
