Please could we keep this thread on topic to the Hornby Drummond 700 rather than one of the perennial discussions of RTR vrs kit built as we all have different abilities and interests. I say this with a brain the size of a planet but a representation of hands that are not very useful when trying to solder etch kits...

If I wasn't so depressed I would have marked his card for that...I could calculate his chance of survival but he won't like it...

Please can we ensure that posts on this thread remain on topic rather than go over older and repetitive ground regarding other Dapol products that have been extensively covered elsewhere

The very nature of the fact that a post has been moderated is enough to provide notification that rules have been transgressed. The rules of the forum again are here and acceptance of membership to the forum implies acceptance of the rules. We generally do not have the time to individually inform a member of moderation (unless it is a major transgression) as experience has shown this usually ends up in an unnecessary long drawn out conversation instead of simple acceptance. Other than actual poster only the admin team can edit or remove a members post (which we do not do lightly) if a post does cause a member an issue, simply use the report button to highlight to which ever member of the Admin team is available. Right i'm going back to talking to the mice...

We rarely delete a post but usually hide it from public view so that members of the Admin team can still refer to it and its context. The only way to leave a post in place whilst removing content would be to edit the contents which then does not keep a copy on the system. Whilst I am here I will remind all that just because this is a 'Jokes' thread within wheeltappers the main forum rules still apply. Also what one person might not find offensive does not mean that others won't or shouldn't be offended. It should also be noted that membership of this forum starts from the impressionable age of 13. We will always err on the side of caution in such matters as to cause minimum offence. Thank you

Khris Yes a post was removed as it was totally inappropriate for even a jokes forum on this site. Simon It was not your joke in post 2266 that was an issue.

Due to repeated reporting of some earlier posts and further to my previous post requesting that the thread remains specifically on topic about the model, some posts and paragraphs have now been removed to prevent escalation of what can be considered inflammatory arguments. Anyone got any spare diodes...

More specially could we get back to the topic of the APT-E as this is a thread about the Rapido model of such.

Adrian Please let me clarify that the original post in this thread whilst posted by Andy Y is simply a posting of the Dapol press announcement (as if often the case with news items posted on this site). Therefore there is no case of Andy Y having the "wrong end of the stick" or Andy Y being aware of the "position" for a next post. Any questions regarding the announcement and Dapol's development timescales will need to be raised with Dapol direct.
