  1. Hello all, After a lengthly spell for me away from Parkway, I finally returned for the first time since April to take some more running time. Sadly Youtube have removed their online video editing software, I have no HD video editing software so the video is in standard definition. Regards Roy
  2. Hello all, The latest thing soon to be running on Parkway will be the Scotrail HST set HA01, this is the temporary crew training livery for the Scotrail HST and is a 1 off. The livery will be silver featuring the skylines of the 7 cities of Scotland. There will be no TGS in the sets and a smaller Buffet. The power cars are a set of Hornby ones de-branded from FGW, along with the two TSOs which again are de-branded FGWs. The TGS is in the post and will be de-branded, the TRFB will have to be a respray as there is no suitable TRFB from Hornby in FGW colours. I will be using a correct TRUB which has the correct window arrangement. Transfers are available from http://www.railtec-models.com/showitem.php?id=3003 Still a work in progress with the two coaches missing Regards Roy
  3. Hello all, The Blue/Grey seem to be on their way from China with Hornby's latest update, priced at £39.99 each! Regards Roy
  4. Hello all, Please find below a link to the latest running sessions on Parkway;- As with John's updates there is some scenic work progression. Regards Roy
  5. Hi, I managed it, just unsoldered the 8 pin plug then soldered direct to the 21 pin solder connections on the PCB. (good fun as it's a tight solder for space) The only thing being is I could only use 3 functions if I recall correctly. I also used a 3rd party speaker to improve the audio quality. I wired to the Bachmann diagram below http://www.Bachmann.co.uk/pdfs/21pin_plug_wiring_diagram-1.pdf Regards Roy
  6. I have placed my order at my local retailler for enough for 2 five wagon sets. The only issue I will have is the amout of 30ft Freightliner containters I will have, I mostly need 20ft ones. Any one wishes some 30ft ones let me know after they arrive, also if any one has any 20ft Freightliner containers they don't require please let me know again once they arrive. Regards Roy
  7. http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/57927/K9999-Kernow-PBA-Tiger-and-Class-37-Pack-with-FREE-Landrover It is a good price if you qualify for it....
  8. Hi Justin, I use Model Strip, it's a paste that comes in a small white tub with a blue lid. I mask off the areas around the markings to be removed then apply as per instructions, leave then wash off, some small residue of paint can be left but this comes off with a tooth brush or a finger nail. As below doesn't remove the base paint. I also used it on a Hornby 60 in sector livery with the EWS yellow/maroon Beasties, this came off in two goes. Regards Roy Edit: spelling
  9. Hello charliepetty, Trying to per-order one of the RT156313 (156458) Super Sprinter Inverness-Glasgow, but it asks for an "Option" in a drop down menu, there is no options to select in the drop down menu and it won't let me add to basket without a selection? edit: add image Regards & thanks Roy
  10. There are a few videos of 37025 with 37099 in tow on youtube Regards Roy
  11. Maybe sound fitted yellow vans for the whistling men?
  12. 37099 being dragged from Mossend to Barrow Hill as timed today;- http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O00667/2017/05/29/advanced
  13. Hi Andy, I have taken advantage of the BRM/RMWEB1 2 years for price of 1 £59.99. Just wondering how the Direct Debit works when it comes to renewal time, what will the cost be and will it be annual or spread out? I couldn't see any reference to it. Regards & thanks Roy
  14. Hello all, I have had another chance to visit Parkway, this time we started the running session but it was haulted by dirty track. This prompted a full track cleaning programme, using a Network Rail 57 and a CMX track cleaner. After the cleaning programme we installed three out of four Dapol semaphore signals, one of which can be seen at the end of the video below. This visit also had some loco fault finding, one of which came to a decoder failure which was unusual. Most faults can normally fixed with a decoder reset or re-aligning of Hornby or Bachmann lighting contacts. A Hornby class 31 was also found to have mazak rot, which isn't catastrophic in it's current location in the cab of this loco. Regards & thanks for viewing Mr B
  15. Hello Jack, A wee tip on the Railmatch Jars, if you put them upside down in a cup of boiling water this softens the paint and they open much easier. Regards Roy
  16. Heljan have done both Original BR XP64 and the Virgin XP64 http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/1113_1_1575737.html Edit: proof added link to sales website for BR XP64
  17. Hello LongRail, Yes with two running with the steam/smoke it didn't take long for us to have to open the door, bearing in mind it's burnt oil. I wonder if an alternative fluid maybe like what the Vapour Cigarettes use would be any safer? Thanks & regards Roy
  18. Hello All, The stars managed to align for the first time this year and John and I managed a running session. There were a few teething problems which were over come.... Thank you for watching Roy
  19. Problem sorted by Dapol, refund issued for the over charging.
  20. Got another box from Dapol expecting Golden Eagle which it was, packaged sightly differently with the cab rubber cover in the box not fitted. Further more I found another £299 had been billed to my name, so far I have been charged £1102 for two locos. Been on the phone to the Dapol Shop waiting the outcome. If you have been in the same sitation please check to see if you have been billed twice for 1 loco. Regards Roy
  21. According to Wikipedia the Mk3s are the Prototypes and the HST coaches https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Mark_3 Regards Roy
  22. That's the shame about the Bachmann announcements in their catalogues, they have photos of real stock and vague descriptions of what the models might feature but, no solid this will have X number of XXft containers in XXXXXXXX livery. If I knew this I would have placed an order. The plus side is I have loads of time to save up. In the meantime should I be buying C-Rail containers to replace the Bachmann unknown livery ones or just wait to see what Bachmann produce and hope the C-Rail Railfreight containers will still be available?
  23. Not tried the movable cartazzi truck, but the manual states fixed for 3rd radii or greater. All wheel sets are flanged drivers or otherwise, The spare drive wheel set with tyres & flanges are for hauls greater than 2.5kg (as per manual) Hope that helps, Regards Roy
  24. Got a bit of a shock yesterday, opened the box from Dapol expecting two A4s....... and found one, Silver Fox only and no Golden Eagle. Phoned Dapol and they are not in the country yet as they required further work. Did worry as been billed for two but only got one with no explaination. Regards Roy
  25. Azuma is Japanese for East, the branding on the 800101 for Virgin Azuma or translated Virgin East livery which is the livery marketing name for the new VTEC trains. Regards Roy
