I've had two with loose wires behind the lighting boards. Manage to fix them with a soldering iron. This all depends on how much you can do yourself.

I did exactly that guys, did the same at the other end too. I used the existing glazing and filed it to fit. Regards Roy

I used a pair of Heljan black ones, as the Bachmann ones are the usual NEM versions which interfere with all the buffer beam detailing and they don't look the best either.

I had a fault with my brake coach, the bogie pivots had disintegrated and the bogies just fell out. I made my own pivots and all is well again. Not the best for the cost but, happy to do a bit of modeling.

With 12052 & 12093 preserved and operational at the Caledonian Railway it'll be hard not to buy one black (early emblem) and green (late crest)!

Hi all, Finally another running session, been a while due to both of us being rather busy. John has progressed more loco work than layout work. However a productive time was had and a way forward with scenic work thought out. With the weather getting warmer John hopes to spend more time on the layout, so hopfully in the not to distant to distant future the scenic section should see more form and detail. Hi, sorry about not being clear. Speaking to the Hornby rep at Model Rail Scotland, the next GWR livery 800 was to be a VTEC but was changed with the uncertainty of the franchise. With this there is a chance if the real 800s could come out unbranded, in this case Hornby could release an unbranded 800 which would do with the test train.

With regards centre coaches, depends what happens with the Virgin East Coast franchise, if they come out in DFT livery, Virgin or not?

Hi Miles73128, Just wondering which coach of yours only had gloss on one side? I have now checked all mine and they are all glossed up and in in the boxes correctly. I was going to wait on my power cars arriving but, that could be days away depending on what's going on at Hattons....
