Managed to get a huge splinter through the end of my finger today which snapped off. Spent the evening in minor injuries unit. New David Bowie single and home made burger and chips for tea. All I need now are some Hydraulics at my local station and it could be 1973 all over again!

Its all very well being off work for Christmas but I'm not allowed to hide down the workshop. Bah humbug!

Of to the little show in Westbury Wilts today. Found out last night that the late Denys Brownlee's Burnham on Sea will be there - will take the camera.

After a week of late night kitchen fitting took advantage of the beautiful Autumn sun and headed for the Mendips - rewarded with a shiny Taffy Tank on the ESR, lovely.

Eldest son completed his Masters and offered a job all in the space of a few days - thrilled for him. Looks like two of our four kids living at home is going to become one in the next month or so.

Off for a day out at the Dorset steam fair shortly. Reports are muddy under foot but sun in the sky all day -hoorah!!

Getting the camper van ready to head off to Cornwall in the morning. Hoping that the sound of rain beating down on the roof will inspire me to get a couple of articles I have been threatening to finish done!

Went to see Grease last night with Dave from the Gascupboard. Our better halves told us off for over-enthusiastic boogeying. Just like the first time we went to see it in 1978.....we were 14 then though!
