Suddenly, we have about 25% of our normal mains water pressure. Looks like the neighbours are similarly affected. Rang SW Water and a very helpful and candid chap told us that the Fire Brigade were 'playing around' with a hydrant a couple of streets away, and have managed to break it, apparently shearing it off at the ground, requiring excavations etc. just to stop if off!
