  1. Hello Andy I seem to be 'normal service' with RMweb 2021. Thanks. Brian
  2. Hello Andy This is my view on RMweb 2021. Brian
  3. Hello again Just listened to my recording. He said: "Request RFT on Two Seven Left for training". Brian
  4. Hello Katy I'm 99.9% certain it was RFT as the request was repeated a short time later. Sadly, from my location, I can only hear aircraft, not ground...so, I only get 'half the story'. Brian
  5. Thanks Rob That sounds feasible. Can anyone confirm? Brian
  6. Hello everyone A 'terminology query' for you. An abbreviation which I have never heard before... Scandinavian 815 left the Lambourn hold last night and was talking with Heathrow Director. All was 'bog standard' until the pilot said: "Request RFT on Two-Seven Left". Does anyone know what RFT means? (I know there is an abbreviation RTF.) The only thing that came up from Googling was Renal Function Test! Brian
  7. Hello Andy Pics below which seem to agree with some above. Brian
  8. Hello everyone Going slightly off topic, but adding to what Mike says above... I started my 'trainspotting career' in 1957 in the Waltham Cross area (Liverpool Street-Cambridge line). I have an abiding memory of being on the station watching a B1-hauled express hurtling towards me. The loco was jumping all over the place. I was so scared that it was about to derail, I ran for my life out of the station through the booking hall! Brian
  9. Hello Jeff Have you considered using foam centre white board? Possibly more dimensionally stable than card? Brian
  10. Hello John Fully agree there! We listed the B17/5 inadvertently as GER in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022 despite us being fully aware that it is LNER and the list had been through three draft stages plus a dummy run of the real thing. Although we published the The Poll content a week before the 'go live', it wasn't until after we had 'gone live' that just one person emailed us about it. There is a big difference between 'honest hiccup' and 'lack of due diligence'... but the judge and jury of social media sometimes don't see it that way. 🙂 Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  11. Hello again everyone I'm pleased to say that we have been able to look into what was announced for Tyne Dock 9F. It was Middle Polling. We wish Hornby all the best with the loco. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  12. Hello everyone Looking at the Pat Hammond Ramsay's British Model Trains, the vehicle was made originally by Mainline in 1980 and taken into the Bachmann range in 1992. The book (the 9th and final edition) only goes up to 2015, so I can't tell if Bachmann has made any updates. Brian
  13. Hello everyone I don't think this layout has been mentioned: Bournemouth West (Roger Sunderland and friends). Brian
  14. Hello everyone Some results from the Hornby announcements. We wish Hornby all the best for them. B17/5 This was High Polling. It was also the most-wanted item in The Quirky Poll 2021 but we moved it into 'the main Poll' for 2022. GWR Bogie Bolster Macaw B This was Middle Polling but missed being High by just four votes. Tank Wagon 2-axle TTA This was Middle Polling (no 'modern era' freight item polled High). It was the second most-wanted item within the category coming in just behind the UKF Pallet Van at the top. We are looking at whether we need to delete the Tyne Dock version of the 9F - I'll report back on that one. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  15. Hello everyone We wish Hornby all the best with this announcement. The vehicle was the second most-wanted item of Freight Stock: 1964-Current (just behind the UKF Pallet Van) in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  16. Hello everyone All the best to Hornby with this announcement. The vehicle was at the very top end of Middle Polling in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022 and missed High Polling by just four votes. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  17. Hello everyone All the best to Hornby for this announcement. The B17/5 was a new entry in The 00 Wishlist Poll 2022 and came in High Polling. We previously listed it in The Quirky Poll 2021 where it was the top-voted item. Brian (on behalf of The 00 Poll Team)
  18. Hello again Angry Scotsman and everyone I'd guess the Aberdeen question is something that Eric (60027 Merlin) will be able to answer, or point in a direction. Brian
  19. Hello everyone & micklner Just a small addendum to the headlamp codes... It is important to be wary that some codes were very 'localised'. For example, the positions shown as Class D would indicate an Empty Coaching Stock (ECS) working in the Paddington area (a hangover from GWR codes) and, on the Somerset & Dorset Line, an unspecified freight train. Passenger workings on the line were as shown as Class F positions. There are many other variations on this theme but none with which I can specifically help 'The Angry Scotsman'. Brian
  20. Hello Neal & Miss Prism I would place the Shunter's Truck as Departmental (ie not revenue earning). The Toad was brought in to the Hornby range in 1996 from the Airfix range (tooled by them in 1976). If we discount Pullmans and look at GWR per se (which is probably what Neal was hinting at) then the Collett was 1978. Brian
  21. Hello Robin Just had a look through Pat Hammond's Ramsay's British Model Trains and can't find any. I remember speaking to Simon Kohler some years ago about how their wagon stock was 'thin on the ground' (to put it nicely!). Brian
  22. Oh...yes! Haven't ever gone into that channel before! Brian
