    The parts have now arrived, And the project to recreate D11 is now going to be underway soon. I bought the parts from Petersspares off ebay. The chassis will may come off D1 or D4 (D4 is another one i created like D8 as well) All i have to do is swap bodies on 44008 for it to run. But anyway D11 is the one i will be doing. Petersspares do the front headcode boxes and small round lights for the peaks.

    A new project is going to be sat on the work table soon. It will be a class 44 ( D1 ) shell and it will be having split head code boxes put on it. It will be turned into D11 (45122) as that was the transition between the 44 and 45. I have seen pictures of the loco and i thought it would look great sat on the shed as a preserved loco. If the real one was not preserved, i thought it would be good to show what it could look like if it was! Here is the pic to show what i mean about it being a cross between a 44 and a 45.

    My latest challenge this week has been the shed roof. I have been having to cut out a hole for the sky light to go in. I have been making it look more realistic instead of leaving it as it was. I am using the wills corrugated clear stuff and the Slaters corrugated sheets of plastic. This is a pic to compare the 2 looks. The one on the right looks so much better!

    The latest work on my layout. Some scenic stuff has been added to the slope down by the shed. I will have to remove the shed to do the bit down the side of the shed area.

    Here is a bit of an update. I have started to build the shed area. It is made from Wills plastic sheets and also Evergreen stuff so far.

    Well i have bitten the bullet and bought my first sound decoder and speaker. It is for one of my peaks that i have got so many of! I am not sure which one i want to put it in yet, the only thing is i can't put it in my new peak as that is a 21 pin decoder and the other ones are 8 pins. I have thoughts of putting it in my green D4 Great Gable. I will be saving up to get a 21 pin version of it. It is a LokSound one which i bought off a website. I saw some on ebay the other week so when i thought of getting one this week they had all gone.

    Well after a long deliberation of thoughts i am gonna wait for the Great Central building due to being told by email that there is no more in the shops at the moment! Bachmann are waiting for a new shipment!

    Well i have found one of the Bachmann 44-116 Great Central waiting rooms from a shop near Thorpe park. The one on ebay has now gone to a silly price. The item in the shop with postage is less than the one on ebay without postage!

    Work is slowly continuing behind the scenes, I have bought a midland style signal box and interior detailing which has been built. I have painted the exterior and i will at some point build the interior detailing. Some more work has been done on the black 5. All is needed is a lick of paint now. Unfortunately the work space has slowly been getting smaller and smaller so i spent over an hour putting stuff away that has not been used. (bad habit of leaving stuff out!) I have also painted the midland style fencing to which will be attached to the other that is on the layout! Hopefully sometime this week i will be getting the next board attached and got ready as there is a bit that continues the down hill (up hill pending on how you look at it! lol) So that is needed marking out and cut. And then i can try and get the track work sorted out!

    I have got this LMS Black 5 loco/coach set for sale I am asking for £90 +£8.50 p&p It is in good working order as i have not used it. The detailing parts are all there. I originally bought it just for the loco thinking it was the one like the one i have got. I even have the original packaging for it still. It will be sent 1st class recorded so you will need to sign for it and the tracking number will be supplied for it.

    Has got another signal box to build and detail! Also i have bought a Black 5 that will have the Brassmasters treatment done to it sometime, Thats when i can afford it!

    This is what i have been doing on the Black 5 detailing with the Brassmasters kit! I have started doing the detailing for the inside of the signal box. I will also be building the Ratio kit for the midland signal box and the detail for the inside as well soon as i get the kits for them! Some of the parts that i have got left to put together!!
