Very clever work Chaz. I fear my sketching skill does not match yours though, but I like the idea. I usually use a black marker pen and draw windows doors and roof line on soap/corn flake/shoe boxes etc. Not as exciting to look at but it is done to full size of the scale, in my case 7mm. Great looking layout. Regards

  6. Ahh got last months but normally only get it when a needs must strikes while reading it in WHS. Is this a following on from last month and is it for a Fowler 7mm? Going for a re-read of last months Hornby mag just in case. Regards
  7. Got my name on one of those GWR bad boys, thanks CK. Sourcing some photos of a really worked hard loco. Regards
  8. Those last few ground level shots in particular are most authentic looking. Great job coming along nicely, congratulations. Regards
  9. Me me me want one too but just had to replace the gas heating and hot water boiler sofunds sucked up. Spend it only once that's my motto. Ahh well Santa informed but it may be next March [my birthday] before I'm ready to get one again and by then they all may be gone. Regards
  10. Mike, I like your !!!WARNING!!! notice. Regards
  11. OoooH yeah hadn't noticed that until you said it again. I think a visit to the glasses shop is required by me. Cheers daifly.
  12. Daifly I imagine it's as simple as finding the wheel back to back measurement then applying that onto the cobble sheet and cut just to the inside then stick it down precisely up the track middle. B to B 29mm you can always test each cut piece by using a wagon wheel set as a gauge. Remember this is the inside to inside measurement of the wheel set so you would want to be a little under that with the insert cobble piece. Regards
  13. Yeah tell me about it Chris and Christmas is coming too.
  14. Wow this is a big post, having to read it in bits playing catch up while reading the newest posts as they arrive. Regards
  15. Sounds very nice any news on their appearance date?
  16. Thanks spams for a full and comprehensive reply. Regards
  17. Very Nice thread Chris. I like the trouble you have gone too with you quick links at the start, very handy. I see you did dish a bit of stick at me ref the Lincs coupling, being one who was dissatisfied with the new manufacturers unfulfilled promises. What did you decide on eventually? I've gone with the Lincs variant that I described which is easy to make & fit from readily available parts. Regards
  18. Looking good, keep the photos coming. Regards
  19. Mike if it is the one you want to purchase you will also have a very handy foldup box to keep it in too. When will you have finished painting that back gate. Regards
  20. Returning for an update and that looks very good John. Not sure I've seen the finished crane/hoist Giles, certainly no operational vid so I'll check back through the posts. Great work gents. Regards EDIT Found last posts on hoist on P13 any chance of a vid showing it all working, lifting, moving side to side and how the 2-motors operate with the bolt threads.
  21. Well if you never intend to exhibit it but we are all coming along on its journey into conception I think you will just have to have some OPEN DAYS with cucumber sandwiches and lashing of ginger beer for all. Interesting as each stage is opened, explained and conceived. Regards
  22. The "Schools" is just Pure engineering poetry. While the "Caley" is a real Phoenix Excellent once again Sandy. Regards
