  1. I noticed a class 56 , [ 56105 I think it was] outside St, Philips. Bristol depot today. It was in filthy external condition, anyone know the reason for it being there,? Keith.
  2. Would ordinary matt varnish help prevent a lot of fading on brick papers.? Keith.
  3. Is there anyone else who as difficulty in undrstanding the commentary on B&R DVDs.? I have several and what ever system I play them on they seem to come over very " tinny " and sound like a echo chamber. KEITH.

  6. I have noticed that Albert Goodall as WC/ BOB firebox doors listed. Anyone know if the Hornby spitfire firebox door is removable or is it moulded as one piece with the rest of the body.?
  7. Thanks Jason, that body fixing idea looks very good. I would like to get rid of the southern circle on the firebox door and seeing that I have a Airfix kit that as been hanging around for years I thought I would have a go at it . Regards, Keith.

  11. I thought it could have been one of the 2 Colony class cruisers in commision during 1959, HMS Gambia and HMS Bermuda, but the Colony class cruisers had transom [ flat ] sterns. So that only leaves HMS Belfast, so it must her. Keith.
  12. It looks like HMS Belfast, but the 2 Colony class cruisers, HMS Gambia and HMS Bermuda were in commision during 1959. Indeed HMS Gambia was based in the Mediteranian much of 1959. Keith.
  13. Would it be unfair to think that it would be a good idea if Kernow could offer some advice on these problems.? After all they do follow this forum under non-de -plumes. Keith

  16. I need a screw that attatches the chassis of the Hornby castle [ Hogworts Castle type } to the body, the forward attatchment position. The screw set for these loco's are unabtainable. I have a selection of model loco screws, but nothing that will fit. Is there a screw from any other model loco that would do the job.? Regards, Keith.

  19. Bournmouth West in the late 1950s. A Bullied light pacific is leaving with the Pines Express for a run up the S & D to Bath Green Park. What headlight/disc code would it be showing ? Would it be the usual two lights to denote a express as on all regions except for the Southern or would it be a Southern route code.? Keith.
