  1. Yes. I have been thinking about the 103 issue being at the printers a month ago, a message from a forked tongue I would think.! Keith
  2. While dredging in Portsmouth harbour was being undertaken for the arrival of HMS Queen Elizabeth a human skull was found. Going back to 1956, the diver Buster Crabb was reported lost in Portsmouth harbour when he was diving near the Soviet cruiser, later a headless body of a diver was recovered. Surely there must be a connection ? Any observations on this.? Keith

  12. I had always understood that 2818 had been acquired by Bristol City Council to be housed in a new large museum that it had planed to build. When the new museum plan fell through, the loco had been gifted to NRM. Please correct me if this is wrong. Keith
  13. I had always understood that the T9 was returned to the NRM because the Swanage railway could not afford the cost of the overhaul. It was at a time that the Swanage railway had financial problems. Keith.
  14. Thanks for the replies. With the help received I conclude that it must have been 30796 Sir Dodinas le Savage. I am certain about the Le on the nameplate, was there any others with Le in the name, other than these two.? Keith.
  15. A shot in the dark question. June 1960, which King Arthur class loco's could have been working out of Weymouth ? Could it have been 30750 Morgan Le Fay. This was my first shighting of a King Arthur and i remember it having a three word name. Not The Red Knight as I am sure I seen le on the nameplate. Keith.

Can someone point out to me where the station was. I understand the owners of the land there do not welcome enthusiast. Keith
  20. The name of the road that runs alongside the river avon from Bristol to Avonmouth is called the Portway, hence the name 'Portway Parkway' Yes it is on the Severn Beach branch. Keith

  22. Hello Granitchops, It was me, we met at Dawlish Warren while I was staying at the Camping coaches. How are you keeping?. I had not realised that the camping coaches were being renovated, I thought that they had been closed for ever. Very pleased to hear otherwise. I will contact them, but I am not sure what proof I have of staying there. That was my third time of staying in the coaches, originally with the children and then with the grandchildren. Best regards, Keith.
