    TMC and Instagram

TMC is now on Instagram and will gradually build things up with new posts each week. Interesting project pictures will go on, the odd amusing post, some 'New in' models, special commissions, plus offers, sales info and maybe the odd post to bid auction could be trialed. Please have a little look at the link below and follow us if you are interested. https://www.instagram.com/themodelcentre/?hl=en Thank you.
  3. TMC is now starting to offer Narrow Gauge models. If popular the range will keep developing. Both weathered and pristine Bachmann stock is now available. The weathered stock should be on our website next week. Loads are included with some wagons and are prototypical for the actual railways these ran on. Have a little fore gleam by checking out out new instagram account in the link bellow; https://www.instagram.com/p/Be3gEpJBCTB/?hl=en&taken-by=themodelcentre Thank you.

    Limited edition 66

‘SILK ROAD’ LIVERY CLASS 66 FOR TMC TMC have commissioned a Class 66 locomotive No. 66136 which carries the Yiwu – London branding as well as full DB red livery. This train is known as the ‘Silk Road’ freight which is derived from the ancient trade route which conveyed Chinese silk and other goods overland on horseback to Europe and elsewhere. Yiwu in Eastern China is the starting point of a weekly freight service which transports containers by rail, London becoming the 15th European destination of these trains with some twenty more planned for future implementation. The journey of some seven and a half thousand miles takes around 14 days by rail which after leaving China travelled via Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France enters the UK via the Channel Tunnel. Because of gauge changes, the containers are transferred twice on to different container wagons, these changes taking place at the borders of China/Kazakhstan and Belarus/Poland. Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan all use a track gauge just a fraction under 5ft, whilst China, Poland, France and the UK all use standard gauge 4ft 81/2”. Transferring containers from one rake of wagons to the next, is certainly quicker than bogie changes which can take several hours. The service is quicker than the journey by sea and offers faster loading and unloading times. It is also much cheaper than the equivalent air freight costs. The locomotive was prepared for the arrival of the first train on 18th January 2017 in front of the assembled press at Barking Rail Freight Terminal. The Yiwu – London graphics were applied for the launch event and it is in the condition that the locomotive is being manufactured. The Bachmann OO Scale model (32-738Z) produced exclusively for TMC will be available early in the new year. Alternatively, the model can be weathered by TMC for an additional £30. Limited edition 66

We are happy to take pre-orders over the phone without payment. Website orders are slightly different as the system takes the payment upfront.
  6. Well the original idea was to have them in for June/July but realistically we're going to be looking at September/October now as we are still waiting for the decorated samples to arrive. Those Blue Gulf tankers may not appear quite so dark when they models arrive. Again it'll be interesting to see the decorated samples.
  7. Just to let you guys know we will be doing a limited edition pack of Gulf Anchor-Mounted Tank Wagons 38-776Z 20 Ton Anchor-Mounted Tank Wagons ‘Gulf’

We have had several RM Web customers who had concerns over the security of our website. All I was doing was letting those customers know that the new website is now live so they have the opportunity to use the website. I promised that I would make people aware once the new website was live and I am a man of my word. If I have posted something in a wrong forum please let me know and I will remove/edit it as you wish

As I always say you can't go wrong with the good old telephone. New website is being worked on everyday until it's up and running with all the products. The product transfer and image collection takes time. By the way if anyone has any decent pics of Horse Box Mk1's it would be greatly appreciated
