I love the detail and effort that has gone into this layout. Im honestly not to interested in american layouts, but this even wants me to model an american prototype.
-
hmm, rotating fail.....

How does one check the quatering on a locomotive?
-
wow, that looks awesome.
I love operational scenery that provides a goods service to the railway as well. It just makes a layout so much more interactive. Was the crane scratch built or was it a kit? I would love to see a photo of your truck unloading system as well.
all the best
Owen.

Random question, Is it Perth Australia, or Perth England?

Would you by chance have any step by step photos of these trees being made. They look fantastic, and seem like a good method vs twisted garden wire. Gives a different type of trunk for the tree which is cool. I love learning to model different species of trees.

I have been looking back though some of your pics on the previous post. I think your layout looks as good, if not better than some of the layouts at the show (I take it, this is the one at claremont?, or have i just missed one ) What layouts did you enjoy there?
-
looks good. Is the plan to have the rear half as a fiddle yard? I love the vertical extent that can be created with european layouts. Its a good chance to put lots of detail in, but also depth and hidden areas in that draw the viewer in.

Beautiffuly done.

Whats the chasis based on? is it similar to the Hornby class 06 , or do they do something different for the pug range. The 06 chasis has a preety cheap motor in it that you can feel the poles when you turn it. A dcc decoder makes it a tad slower and smoother, but im preety sure that the problem lies with the motor. The end result on your latest blog though looks fantastic. Its a credit to your skills.

love the custom built buffers, its inspired myself to give it a crack with some pcb's and spare rail sitting around
-
very nice. Did you do anything to the mechanism to improve the running?
