I Have an old Hornby 29 which you can have, although they do need a lot of work -
Great shots, we used to live in Pickering for a number of years, just up the road from the station. No overall roof then.

Thanks for that, I like the stacked lq. I have made a few lq slotted posts for Tynebank in the past, I'm hoping for something just a bit different. I will be putting the build on my FB group 'Ian Blenk's model railways and musings' if you are interested

Thanks for that, very informative, I fear knowledge like yours is slipping away. I model NE Region circa 1960 (elsewhere on here Warkworth Harbour), although I haven't posted for a while. I did want a miniature semaphore as they are something a bit different I like the idea of a yellow board with back stripe

Thank-you for taking the time to post this, it's very useful showing the yellow board. I had wanted to build a miniature, because it is a little different.

Hi All, I wonder if someone can help? In the sketch below a yellow disc can be placed in the location shown. This protects the main, but can be passed at danger if shunting into the neck. Were miniature signals ever used in such a situation, if so what would the board be? I have heard of yellow boards (not fishtail) Thanks as ever for your help Ian B

Hi All, I've stopped posting on RMweb, but if you are interested in seeing what modelling I'm up to, I have a FB group 'Ian Blenk's Model Railways and Musings' See you there! Thanks for all your support. Ian B

Well, eventually got the right thread, it's an age thing. The original staiths were built for another project and weren't really working on W.H. I thought they looked too over over powering rather than blending in with the model. I have cropped them down, so they are more representative of those at Amble. There is a lot of work to do!

Yes, thanks for that, we had four steamers let when I joined Stevies, Cliff Quay, Willie Walker, James Rowan and the Sir John Snell, Cliff Quay being the oldest was my favourite. The layout will take a while to complete, there has been a surprising amount of work in the arches, also as it is in Amble, not SS I have to make some new rolling stock. I do like a challenge!

Tindale has worked up the incline from Kirkhouse, it is at the end of its working life. Fleetwood Shawe, told me at the end it was absolutely 'panned' and in a filthy condition, in fact its boiler had cracked and it wasn't economical to repair. Its components ended up scattered around HBG
