  1. As I predicted Sheriff was blue, ah well I'll just have to suppose it was repainted green.
  2. Left to right, No.6, Tindale and Sheriff. Lining to finish, then buffing gear and of course some weathering. What could possible go wrong?
  3. Went for Brooklands Green, it has less of a blue hue to it. Now need to line out & weather etc. Next rolling stock project will be a couple of the man rider wagons
  4. Halford's Ford Pine Green, maybe a bit on the blue side under the layout lights
  5. I went for the green option, no doubt it was painted blue. Rivets to straighten
  6. Work on the arches is painfully slow, a lot of hidden work. Also touch up where the white card shows through!
  7. I need to fit 2 coaches in the platform and a Q6 in the reversing Road it's sqeeze
  8. What a good idea. I could also build a bridge and put a bus on it. Or better still use cardboard kits for the buildings. Of course I could do a night scene so no one can see the rubbish modelling.
  9. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply I am intending to use a stepper driven sector plate on the next layout. I want to make it 'universal'. so I can use it on other projects. I have done a few things with a Uno, and am picking up on programming again, albeit slowly! Many Thanks again!
  10. Very interesting, thanks for posting it. I have seen very few photos of the Lambley branch. Here is a painting of Lambley Drift about 1945
  11. One step forward, two back. It's embarrassing the diorama is barely 3' long! I keep visiting the place and seeing something else I should have/shouldn't have done.
  12. Very slow progress, crossing Keepers cottage complete and some work on back scene done. The topography of the area is challenging
  13. RSH (not a Brampton Loco) delivers a rare consignment for the Co-op
  14. Now that work on Tynebank has paused, I have finally got around to building and undercoating some rolling stock, still heaps to do. Just as an aside, I love my High Level RSH so won't be buying the Dapol one, although it's introduction may slow down the plague of Pecketts which is sweeping the modelling world
  15. An excellent weekend at Birtley, everyone at the club very friendly and welcoming as always. It was great to meet and speak to so many people. Thanks for all the encouragement and kind comments. As usual there is a list of improvements to make, watch this space!
  16. Hmm it photographs better than it looks,I'm not especially looking forward to it, although the Birtley gang are excellent folk.
  17. Boxed up and ready for Birtley this weekend. It all seems a bit frivolous, with everything going on. Keep calm and play trains.
  18. Yeah, it's just a static and most of it is hidden behind a wall, there's no topping lift on it. a bit like the Doxford Tanks.
  19. Some progress on the steam crane for Tyne Dock Engineering. As an aside, the last steam cranes I saw working were when we were in dry dock at Wallsend Slipway in 1980, in fact they were the last industrial steam I saw in the UK.
