  1. or even some nse markings! i so regret selling E245 AMW 7 or so years ago, it was our ex MYB depot van, was sound as wel!
  2. Its a Horsebox, the height of the body is the giveaway!
  3. Thank you, I was only a few miles out!!! All good info though.
  4. Merfyn, thank you for looking, the reg suggests an essex registration, and there is some br lettering uner the many layers of paint!
  5. Hi Russ, Yes it it mine now, its my fourth one, ought to stop buying them really.....this one will probably be for spares though, the parts for the dodge are realy hard to find. Thanks for the offer of the lettering! Andy
  6. Did you mean the green and yellow one? Its a dodge chassis, with a curved roof body, not the same as the ford one mentioned earlier, the dodge one is VDN 813V, It was formally a traveller home, Merfyn has a pic of it looking better a while ago: https://www.flickr.com/photos/merf29/5171819890/in/faves-90163850@N02/ Its been stored inside for 20 odd years, and the body is excellent, although gutted inside, the cab is reasonable for its age: here it is now, not sure what the yellow badly rollered on paint is all about: here is the inside: original floor and excellent side folding doors, original locks etc Merfyn, do you have any history on this one or any other pictures? Anything on it would be much appreciated, as I am not sure what I will do with it yet! Andy
  7. Merf, you say "VSB7" style, what does that mean?
  8. Russ, Reading depot has been flattened and re developed, the upper triangle is long gone now, !
  9. I would guess around 1986, at D registration, Merfyn may know better! the last roadrunners were 1991, then 1992 on the revised front and they became Leyland Daf 45. Andy
  10. These have had BR branding, but its been removed. I think these have just been retired and sold off. You can see the BR branding on the body at roof level on the front, of the one on the right.
  11. Slightly diverting here, another ebay find, goes to show that old crewbuses still keep popping up, this one is a bit of a no hoper, but, calling merf, do you have any info on this old crate? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/dodge-commando-ex-british-rail-lorry-restoration-project-/152405392355?hash=item237c11bbe3:g:2rcAAOSw2xRYg667 Andy
  12. I have found this 1991 roadrunner on ebay, a SWB crew bus, looks in good nick, but full of freezers??? H641 UUB is the reg, its tempting.....# http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/leyland-daf-roadrunner-/182379312383?hash=item2a76a774ff:g:ryYAAOSwEzxYRmPV
  13. Thank you merfyn, thats useful, but as you say, given the lack of yellow paint anywhere, may well be a coincidence. I may consider it as a spares donor, as it runs and drives......and isnt too far away. Andy
  14. Changing the subject slightly, i found this dodge commando chasis cab for sale on ebay. Hopefully Merfyn may be able to shed some light on it, but the reg number is D804 PHR, now, given that my white roadrunner crewbus is D336 PHR, is there a chance this is an ex BR motor? It looks tidy as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322311661300 Andy
  15. Thank you Merf, shame its not BR, but Mrs is relieved! Cheers Andy
  16. A Question for Merfyn here, I found this one for sale on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122032769233?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Its probably an ex BT Van, but the age and body style says it could be ex BR, do you have any info on it? The Reg is D338 VCN. If it is ex BR, I`ll have to have it! Andy
  17. On a slightly different note, the NSE clock on the stairs at banbury station has gone,, does anyone know where its gone? I rather wanted that one!
  18. I remember those, you could buy them form the TDEL, the terminal depots equipment list, coolant pumps that blocked up, battery chargers that gave up at a moments notice. Wish I had kept the A5 ring binder with all those quality products in!
  19. If any one fancies an ex EWS fuel tanker, one for sale here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1994-LEYLAND-DAF-FA60-180-fuel-tanker-on-steel-mot-05-15-/321653946039?hash=item4ae411b6b7:g:II4AAOSw1vlUyRGU But, the reason for posting the link is that if anyone is modelling one, some useful detail pictures. Andy
  20. here is a pic of a freight rover 200 series pick up, not sure where the pic came from, but defo not mine, so all credit to whomever took it!
  21. gary, when I was an apprentice at reading ODM, there was a yellow freight rover 400 series crewcab pickup, with NSE branding, no pictures though. The chargehand used to give out the jobs, then take the crewcab and spend all day building his house extension!
  22. brilliant pics, did you get any of the maestro next to it
  23. thats a super model merfyn, the reg must be eastleigh way? the eastleigh leyland roadrunner recovery bus, same build as mine was H745 YGO, i think!
