  4. I've been trying to find a local model club to join within 20 miles that have a D&E Layout . They all only have steam layouts. I was the chairman of my local club a few years back all the members where intrested in steam only. How do club's intend to get younger member's if they Don't move with the times.

  6. This is how i take them apart. On the underside of the bus you will find 2 plastic lug's. They can be red or black you need to keep these for the rebuild. Do NOT remove these at this stage they will fall out when the lower and upper deck come apart. You will see a metal rivet at the rear of the underside you need to drill the head off . Next get a small flat screwdriver put this in between the upper and lower deck twist the screwdriver as you work around the body. You may need to work round a few times then it will come apart.You can now remove the seat's and windows. Do NOT remove the poles as you need them to refit the body. Once you have done your repaint refit the plastic lug's to the pole's as before. i use epoxy where the rivet head was drilled out. If you want to remove the poles you will need to use Epoxy to fix the upper and lower decks together. All the best Alf.

  8. Hi. I First took the model apart. Then used paint Stripper on the body. Then a light coat of Halfords Grey primer before the top coats. A White spray can was used for the top coat on the roof . All the best alf
  9. Hi. The only way to get a Model bus that i Wanted for my layout was a full repaint. This started off as a EFE Sheffield corp AEC Regent mk3 with orion bodywork. After a full strip down and Repaint it's now in the old Eastbourne Corporation Livery. IMGP0425 by ALF WESTLEY, on Flickr

  15. I'm building a 2HAP DC kit . With EMA plastic weld from my local model shop. Or Slaters do the same . The spud motor come's ready to fit with no wiring if you run on DC.
  16. There are some variations on the east kent models. EFE 15802 Leyland Titan PD1 Was released with upper deck from EFE 16003 Leyland PD2. EFE 16003 Leyland Titan PD2 was released with upper deck from EFE 15802 Leyland Titan PD1. All the model fault's are listed on a model bus forum.
  17. I have looked on the model bus forum . They state there is not a match in the Humbrol paint range.

  19. I remember these back in the 1960's . Working in a garage we had a few come in for a service . All in light blue some only ran on Batteries fitted under the seat .Think it was about 8 of them . I remember getting the job of topping them up with water.
  20. B G john. There are Extension pin kits to convert Peco PL 10 to PL10E. They are on ebay under peco point motors.
  21. There are no rtr models made. You can convert a BG van with a 57'ft frame.
  22. If they had to move HST coaches from one depot to another with a loco they used a Barrier coach. Between the loco and the MK3's.
  23. Most depots had a class 08 to move stock around back then.
  24. James. All the class 04's where withdrawn by 1971. The last class 35 was withdrawn in 1975.
