  1. James. The class 31 and 33 are Ok . your mk3's coaches are not correct as these are the HST type. No buffers is one thing so will not be used with a inter city loco.
  2. Dart castings stock TC driving ends.
  3. 3588 was 3185 before it was refurbished in the late 1985 as dan stayted . coach numbers where 76923/62467/71146/76924 at this time.
  4. It can depend on the base colour you use (primer). As white or grey can change the shade of the top coat.
  5. Railmatch do them in a Aerosol can. 1311 BR crimson. 1312 BR cream.
  6. Kingsway models do have some of there website . How modern do you want as most seem to be up to the 1980's only. Fox transfers have them but only up to the 1960/70's.
  7. Yes 47522 had black door's in 1992. There are photo's on flicker. Allway's a good place to check thing's out.
  8. Colin. the sidings at the north quay have been relayed for the incinertor use The marine station only see's one train a day each way to Brighton now. Class 313's run all the time on this line only class 377's run when there is a football match on at felmer.

  12. Going off topic sort of. When i worked for maidstone & district bus co. They used 2 or 3 different paint makers one was Parsons carn't remember the rest but the shade of green was not the same . Now did BR use different paint makers as well . If so this might explain the problem with southern green.
  13. going off topic . i would like know if there was a 2bil converted to a sandite, if so this will give me a good reason to have one, as i model in the mid 70's. thanks in advance .
  14. i have used dot 3 and 4 to remove paint . it is very flammable more so then petrol. when i worked in a garage a few time's car's that had been in a big shunt went up in flames as the brake fluid leaked on the hot exhaust . i get rid of my used fluid with my old engine oil at the tip. best thing to do if useing brake fluid is to use it outside.
  15. my local model shop only stocks humbrol now. so it's a round trip of 40 miles to get railmatch. now that the post office will not except paint there is no choice. the problem i have is when i need cherry paint for my model buses .
  16. i have had a problem with humbrol matt brown and matt black not wanting to dry. i used humbrol black acrylic but found that poor. years a go i allways used humbrol paints now i only use railmatch or revell for just basic colours matt black or white.
  17. rail freight grey. red back ground name plate. 2 tone grey. black back ground name plate.
  18. in 1991 it had british steel corby name plates. by 1993 they where removed.
  19. clive are you going to change the bogies on your deltic ,as the lima one's are HO scale just like there class 50 was. with all that work you have done on the deltic body it would be a shame to have underscale bogies fitted.
  20. what will the DVT'S run with. there is talk they will be working with the class 73's once they have been fitted with a larger engine . or a few class 67's when they come off lease soon .
