Here I am, with a Lionheart 7mm B Set on order, trying to convince myself that I don't need the forthcoming Heljan large prairie and what should appear?
A 61XX, looking superb with a B Set and a couple of vans!
Great photo's Andy.

Can't you sell it yourself on EBay? You will realise 95% of what it sells for instead of half.
Actually, selling on eBay, once you account for eBay and PayPal fees, you end up with less than 86% of what anything sells for.

Crikey George!
That little lot is going to keep you busy for a while.

I know nothing of "The Little Loco Company" - whether I'm tempted depends very much on the quality of the offering.
I think you might be tempted.

I was thinking the signal box would make a nice real ale bar!!!
Now there's a plan

The weathered Colletts do look very nice indeed.
Glenn,
Would it be possible for you to give some details of the techniques you've used on them?
I have a Lionheart 7mm B Set coming later this year and it would get nice to have them in a similar condition.

Well, the Dunster and Malmesbury buildings are both octagonal. And then there's Castle Combe market cross which is only four sided.
But I really have no clue why they have the number of sides they do.
-
No problem. These buildings weren't just confined to Devon.
Dunster has it's Yarn Market: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yarn_Market,_Dunster
And Malmesbury its market cross: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malmesbury_Market_Cross

A serious question, which I am sure someone on here will know the answer to:
What is the six sided building with a pointy tower on top (it also has dormer windows in the roof and a 'porch' extension at one end) which comes up when you search Google for images of Chagford?
It is screaming out to be modelled and I would like to build it for an imminent project.
It bit of further googling tell you that it's the town's market house.

You need three agrees for a photo shoot.
Currently has four agrees

Hi Kev,
I can make any size you'd like.
That's handy. I will have a ponder about where I might put it and get back to you.

The GWR roundel is rather nice.
What diameter is it?

A second vote for the Clostermann etch primer.

I thought you'd de-camped over to the 'other' forum.

The JLTRT one looks like it's going to be superb though and my pockets may get hurt at some point although I doubt that I would build a layout for it to run on!
Most O Gauge shows have test tracks where you can run your models. So you don't necessarily have to have your own layout.
-
Well I fell into that trap didn't I?
There's always a catch somewhere!

Oh Ye Gods, he's off again!
As with all of your layouts Andy I will look forward to seeing it develop.
I'm now off for a lie down

Hello Kev, Nice to hear from you again, Bauxite you say sounds good to me, thanks mate...
Hi George,
I'm still mooching about on here, usually clicking away on the old like button. My modelling has lapsed a bit lately, I've been spending a lot of time listening to Rory Gallagher and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Which means a lot of time is then spent playing guitar. And last night I ordered a couple of Gary Moore's live albums
It's good to see you've moved back to 7mm. I look forward to seeing what you do.

Just enjoyed a bottle of Dragonhead.
It's a very malt stout, giving it a biscuity flavour with hints of burnt chocolate.

Thanks for the heads up.
I've had Fraoch many times, it's one of my favourite ales I will report back on the Dragonhead.
A Nod To Brent - a friendly thread, filled with frivolity, cream teas and pasties. Longing for the happy days in the South Hams 1947.

I can't take any credit for the Begonias, they're my Mum's department. The bare tubers survived the winter in the greenhouse, so I think they'll be appearing in some outdoor photo's again this year.
