I once mentioned cellulose thinners to the late-lamented Mick Bonwick in the context of airbrush cleaning......I only did it once....just saying..

There's no quick way to properly (correctly) clean an air brush.  You have to take it apart lovingly and gently rub it's bits with a suitable solvent (read yer manual for which one, it depends on what the rubbery bits are made from).  Then give it all a nice polish and put it back together with some lube (of your choice, because by now you know what's safe👍), my personal preference is for a bit of needle juice... yum

  3. Personally I'm only after two car DMU's but I would happily pay £300 for a DCC ready (I don't do DCC atm) set.  I was happy enough with the EFE LSWR Cross-country 3 coach sets to pay £195 for them, so by my logic £300 would be the sweet spot for a two car.  For a five car, I'd go to £450 for DCC ready.

You gets what you pays for at the end of the day.  Even if here were kits for what I want, I wouldn't be happy with my 'build quality', such are my skills atm.

I'm no fan of them for myself but I can see that Hornby might view them as a tool to get new modellers into the hobby.

...or just cash in, people who collect not only trains but Beatles guff will love them.

  5. A good year for collectors at least.  I can't see many 'Locomotions' lasting long in the wrong hands, although at £170 a pop (which considering the complexity of it seems a fair price), one would hope they'd be well cared for.  If I had the spare wedge I'd be up for one, just for the novelty value 👍

Where's my G6 and Ironclads Mr Hornby? 😜

That's my memory of the place. It was tiny but stuffed to the gunwales.
