A great looking layout, and good progress on the Arley Station building. I assume your un-named RMWeb event is ours at Weston on Trent. Looking forward to seeing you there. Just waiting for your form back Will :-)
-
A nice idea. Hope health improves and we can see some more developments to the layout soon.
-
It does seem a long way off - but it will soon come around!
-
Thanks for the comments. I think I have landed another top target which helps. To confirm the show is Weston on Trent, South Derbyshire, Saturday 14th November.
-
Congratulations. Actually got to view layout on Saturday. Saw more than when sharing a room with you at Weston. Award deserved in my opinion. You seemed to be operating alone on Saturday. No wonder you were tired! Congratulations again.
-
Thanks Paul I may well take you up on the offer.
-
I may well hold you to that especially as I missed all the Jubilees and providing you keep Master Grimes in check again.
-
Once again I would like to say well done on your award yesterday. It was well deserved as I thought your layout was one of the stand out ones in the show. The modelling of locos, stock and bombed buildings were superb and were very well presented with the lighting, back scene and barbed wire. This layout is a must view at Nottingham.
A word for Iz. She was a credit to you. Impeccably behaved and did well operating the layout. I hope some of our pupils will be inspired by the sight of someone of similar age operating such a great show layout.
Thanks again for coming.

Seconded by me. A cracking layout and a deserved winner.

Yes my Dad did better than he expected and was very pleased with the day. You had some good traders and many are coming to us too. Will see you on the 15th.

Interestingly enough I contacted zivadiva to ask what in my blog convinced them not to go. I got no reply. Shame.
-
Will it fit on the P.E wall bars??
-
My comment should have read "floor plan" - predictive text on Kindle strikes again!! Some serious juggling going on to fit it all in!!! Your layout has moved three times already!
-
Good luck with your new project. I look forward to following your progress.
-
You should worry I have a floodplan to complete. I have a feeling I need a large shoe horn!!!
-
I look forward to hearing the sounds at the Weston show. Your layout is next to mine.

All I will say is the catering at our humble little show has often been praised for quality and value.
-
As a comparable price I paid
-
Having experienced some dire catering experiences at other shows in the past I have sympathy with you. Some shows provide excellent catering at good value, especially some of the smaller events.
-
I am very disappointed my blog put you off going to the show. I would have thought statements such as a "good mix of layouts", "a decent show", "outstanding models" and "enjoyable show" would have been enough to convince someone to attend. Can't see why you were put off to be honest. I admit I was critical of one layout in particular and mentioned the operation of another. I actually think people may have wanted to judge these for themselves.
I mentioned at the start of the post that this was my own personal opinion. I wonder why it made you not want to go. If you realised that the layouts were not for you, then maybe I saved you from disappointment.
-
I think you need to at least four after all that matches the preservation total.
-
You have no reason to worry Paul. Your layout looks great and you are bringing Jubilees.
-
Maroon jubilees. Good choice sir.

Deadline - what deadline would that be then??

Thanks Will. Now I know you are coming I will update the show blog. I have a couple of "announcements" to add.
