Looks like you got as good deal there. Good luck with your project.
-
Well you can tell the D/O that there are now less than three months until the layout's exhibition debut!
-
Must check the measurements you have given me for the Weston show ;-)
It is looking good!

It is looking good
-
No - definitely 00 - I even have some track in stock!
-
With the amount of stock I have any new project would definitely be 00 gauge.
-
No more requests from me apart from ensuring that young Master Grimes is kept firmly under control!
-
I reckon you need to bring the elephant train - and don't forget the Jubilees. That is a must!!!
-
Equally sorry to hear your news Don. A shame that all your efforts will not produce the model you hoped. But sometimes it is best to call a halt instead of struggling on. Hope to see you at the club sometime.
-
A fantastic looking building. The layout is looking very good and I can't wait to see it at Weston in November. Was good to meet you at the Burton show today.
-
It is looking so good it is a definite contender for "Best in Show" at Weston 2014.
-
Mikkel needs to face the wrath of the stun gun.
-
I quite like the Duchess, but the Jubilee is still the tops for me. Sounds like you have quite a few Duchesses though.
-
Stun Gun! Very harsh. As for Jammy Dodgers you will probably be unlucky, more likely to be Jaffa cakes.
-
I am sure I can calm the other half down with free tea or coffee throughout the day at the Weston show!
-
Who me? Not guilty your honour!!!
Sorry that was Billy Grimes after being nicked by the local bobby following a shed bashing trip.
I, meanwhile, am quite happy to be blamed for someone playing trains. If you want my advice - leave plenty of space for Crimson Jubilees. That is bound to get at least one vote in the best in show competition as I am bound to vote for any layout featuring Stanier's finest!
-
Perhaps the museum staff were worried because they knew Andy had already consumed some of Burton's finest!
Museum and layout are definitely worth a visit, especially when the Rail-ex is on in November!
-
I had forgotten Johnie Morris had read some as well.
-
I remember those story tapes, I think I had some of them. I do remember the original ones though where Willie Rushton read the stories!
-
Yes I think it could be a long trial.
-
That is a quality model. I have picked up the Langley Models "hardware store" set from the Stafford show and believe the shopkeeper could be painted up as Arkwright. I just hope I have the painting skills.
-
If not I will make sure you are well away from the ladies in the catering department ;-)
-
I did see from across the hall Don, but too far away to shout. Think you were at Ingleton at time.
-
Looking forward to seeing you at Weston
