  3. Been waiting for a parcel all day.

Out with driver at 9.36 am

At 1.00pm 107 drops to go before me

At 8.00pm 26 drops before me

At 9.25pm 5 drops before me

Now 10.00 and still 5 drops before me - looks like he's gone home. Can't really blame him. I wonder how many more he's got after me.  :scratchhead:

My {usual} friendly delivery driver from Amazon called yesterday and told me he had 200 drops on his route :O .......which must raise the question of safety and even; is that humanly possible to achieve!?!

He did still make time to carry my {weighty} parcel into the house for me and ask how I was feeling.......He commented that he remembers with a smile, the first time he called here and said "Amazon!" when I opened the door, to which I replied: "No, I`m just a bit on the tall side!" :mosking:

  4. A certain amount of seasonal clog popping is in progress.

Unfortunately MiL looks ready to join in.

A somewhat fraught atmosphere at Chez DD at the moment.

I send my sincerely supportive wishes to you and your most-dears, DD. :friends:

  5. Oh

    ......Someone mention scalpels?

A shame really, as it is healing nicely:

But in February I have to go back to this, to get the Meccano out:

:O Oh, Neil!......I`d rather forgotten what a terrible injury it was; and such a credit to you (and also the the clinicians and physiotherapists) for your making a resonable recovery; `though I`m sure it`s still "a work in progress", in terms of returning abilities and discomforture.

  6. Her indoors has decided we need to be up early to "tidy" the house before the visit of the rest of the early music group arrive....at 2pm!

:scratchhead: ......what happens if the early music group are late? :mosking:

  7. I don't think that there is anyone at the nursery particularly technologically minded. Others  had, as you might expect, when being used day in day out by the very young taken a bit of hammering, Some simply needed speaker or battery leads re-soldering but a few had actual breaks on the PCB tracks.

The first thing that flashed into my mind when I read that was: surely BoD`s expectations are a bit high, as aren`t they a bit young to be expected to be fixing things.......

........then I realised; you meant the staff! :mosking:

  8. Not Peco track!

    Link to YouTube.

The Fat Controller is going to be less than impressed with those japes; he used to get up-tight if he caught the Sodorian motive power, so much as daring to have a chat! :mosking:

`Though a morbidly obese, time-obsessed, judgemental control freak; may still make it on the short-list for a modern train operating company`s managerial recruitment.

  10. That reminds me. My ex did the voice for one car manufacturer's sat nav; from experience I'd advise not disagreeing with her. ;)  :keeporder:   :jester:

Following my throat surgery last year, i was unable to speak at all for several months..............{this space intentionally left blank for the jokes!} :mosking: ...........but, I used a text to speech 'App' for the duration, which was very helpful and at least I had some kind of voice, even if it was only Google`s default female voice; I became so familiar with the sound of the new 'me', that my brain sort of adopted it, and now, whenever I hear a Sat-nav or device that uses that particular voice, I immediately think "why am I speaking those words?!?!" :O .........neuroplasticity is a amazing thing! :boast:

  11. Predictive text just suggested Onan for "I am".

Sometimes technology doesn`t quite get there, Tony......

Even with my dodgy laryngeal issue; my experiences using voice recognition, have been considerably more successful, than with spell checkers or predictive text: the former always seems to assume my vocabulary should be as 'American' and rudimentary its own, and the latter seems to insist on me texting like a teen......"Innit!" :mosking:

  12. It is fortunate that DWP are doing the right thing by Debs.  Resistance is futile.

The Hive isn`t what it used to be and resistance is now considered 'a tad difficult' :nomention: .....but to be honest; falling numeracy standards are The Collective`s major problem.......Perhaps resultant of assimilation of some of the Galaxy`s intellectually more-challenged biological and technological distinctiveness.

I heard that from: "13 of 7" :mosking:
