My and Mum's day was immeasurably brightened by our visitors (both of them well-known and loved by E.R's) .......a sunny, beach-walkies and extended talkies were enjoyed and I'm sure the other party will update you in their inimitable way, later.

Very much looking forward to welcoming some lovely guests to the house tomorrow and in good Collie Towers tradition, it really is "one man and his dog".
Further reports and pictures will surely follow.

29 minutes ago, TheQ said:Sadly thats another battle for John, claiming his single person occupancy Council tax discount (25%). I don't think think the council will count Kerry as a second person..
When my John died, my experience dealing with the Local Authority Council Tax team was a positive one; chose to telephone the office personally, rather than use the "Tell us once" facility, as there were complications with regards to multiple inherited properties in Probate, but having spoken to a named person, thereafter the process was very sensitively, kindly and efficiently handled and my 25% discount arranged by dispensation from the Chief Tax Officer (despite the complications).....so, not all Officialdom is necessarily officious.

I take great care of my kilts, having to iron one of them is real hard hard work
Shouldn't a Polo shirt have holes in it?.......even one in mint condition.

I have the opposite situation to GDB: "Hair".......and it blinkin' costs; what with colouring, cutting, putting-up (all rather too regularly).......Pah! you chaps, you don't know you're born!
A fresh colour and cut at the salon yesterday:
Today's hair-up (a vertical roll)....it will stay tidy for several days, though:

Dearest John,
Mere words are so terribly insufficient, but please know, we your friends, care very much and are with you in this, your sadness, emptiness and loss.
Your love and devotion for Sandy is tangible, nothing changes that; she will always be with you.
All care my friend,
Debs.

How do you find the Hyundai - is it an
IronicIonic or a Kona ? My High and Dry is a diseasel auto but has proved a better assembled car than the two previous Flaweds. It has proved faultless so far. It's the 'Ironic' and a very good vehicle it is too.
The Koreans do seem to be able to do build quality, features and value all at the same time......the warranty/aftercare was then the deal clincher.
