A high percentage of those running with no lights were silver or white making them blend in with the background rather well

On the bus into Burton this afternoon, visibility down to 200 yards. There were more cars with no lights on than were using fog lamps.

In the village where I lived at the time three young men (17-19) were killed in road incidents in quick succession two of them brothers, non them their fault. All three were hit by idiots driving on the wrong side of the road.

Bloke I knew had a model shop, people would ask him what was the best investment. His answer was to point to a rack of cheap dicasts, so cheap that Mum didn't get to mad if the kids lost or broke them. 5 years later most have gone. Whereas most "collectibles" are still mint & boxed.

There is a bookshop in Cromford near Derby that has a fully fitted bathroom, complete with bookshelves! In fact it is like Phil's book room, books on every surface.

A real problem with elf n safety is that it is misused by those who want to stop others from doing something that "they" don't think should be allowed. The Health & Safety Executive have a real problem with these types as it dilutes the message.
