  1. It's a great model at that price (I have 2) and of course 2nd hand market exists too. However any wishful thinking of future liveries like this SNCF one from Bachmann....well I doubt we will see any new Class 90 from them of any sort if they would be RRP £250 DCC ready....? Respray would be the cheaper option.

My theory is to ideally strip the body first after removing the roof detail and glazing. Then spray the yellow end first, then the orange, the light grey next and then the dark grey. Doing in in this order means that it is fairly easy to use differing widths of masking  tape and follow the lines of the cab front/cantrail. That’s how to do it in my mind’s eye anyway!

    That's no easy job...

Just need the Sybic one now. I think I’ll also renumber and tweak the livery on my RFD one (to 90022 I think) and get it the plates to make the set of 4 to fit in with the end of my modelling period.

Will we ever see that livery?

  4. Very exciting announcement - I also would opt for the Silverlink livery but the London Midland livery will sit well alongside the Bachmann 350 - so happy with that

Can't imagine these will be cheap - and normally don't pre-order but on the back of their other recent models, happy to do so on this occasion.

Numbers work for bus routes (and the Southern Electrics).

Exactly - imagine the nonsense of naming the bus routes in London - it's hard enough remembering the numbers.

...perhaps this is part of tfl's plan to further discourage our elder population from attempting to use the rail network by making it impossible to navigate?

  6. The Overground rebranding was clever and necessary but it looks like tfl was duped into burning up £6 million in a sequel that nobody wants.

There couldn't have been consultation with the passengers, because everyone who uses the Goblin Line knows it by the name. Now it will be called the Sufragette Line, which is ironic as we had to suffer awful service when it used to be the North London Line.

How can we explain to tourists to take the Weaver Line and the Windrush Line etc. It was confusing beforehand
