Do these locos use Lithium batteries?
-
It's a great model at that price (I have 2) and of course 2nd hand market exists too. However any wishful thinking of future liveries like this SNCF one from Bachmann....well I doubt we will see any new Class 90 from them of any sort if they would be RRP £250 DCC ready....? Respray would be the cheaper option.

Well...before Brexit all EU countries would have the same regulations and safety standards in many areas and following testing in Spain...it would simply be a matter of translation. Perhaps since then ALL systems must be recertified in the UK...?

I think you have deeper pockets than me!

I just have my engine light always on, that way I wire it directly to the end terminals of the pcb which (trial and error)

My theory is to ideally strip the body first after removing the roof detail and glazing. Then spray the yellow end first, then the orange, the light grey next and then the dark grey. Doing in in this order means that it is fairly easy to use differing widths of masking tape and follow the lines of the cab front/cantrail. That’s how to do it in my mind’s eye anyway!
That's no easy job...

i meant with regards to the minimum amount of spraying...but I see the grey bands are completely different

Would a Bachmann Railfreight Grey be a good base model for a respray?

Like my 88 0n order (and MENTOR when I finish it), all I'm bothered about is that the pan head sits flat and level when down.
How do you do that with the Accurascale 92?
-
Looking forward to seeing the Class 99 in OO Gauge...hopefully it will be taken up by a manufacturer with an already proven competence in designing electric locos with BW pantograph....

Just need the Sybic one now. I think I’ll also renumber and tweak the livery on my RFD one (to 90022 I think) and get it the plates to make the set of 4 to fit in with the end of my modelling period.
Will we ever see that livery?

so delivery could be about one year after the order book closes...? Hopefully the Class 93 gets into service sooner rather than later

GM have sold the parts individually this way since they took Heljan spares on 3/4 years ago.
Not from my memory.

Ouch - but can I make a 321 of this quality? No
-
Very exciting announcement - I also would opt for the Silverlink livery but the London Midland livery will sit well alongside the Bachmann 350 - so happy with that
Can't imagine these will be cheap - and normally don't pre-order but on the back of their other recent models, happy to do so on this occasion.

I have been voting fruitlessly for a Class 88 for 3 or 4 years...

Every metro I have been on so far, numbers the lines. Clearly every one of those countries were WRONG.

Numbers work for bus routes (and the Southern Electrics).
Exactly - imagine the nonsense of naming the bus routes in London - it's hard enough remembering the numbers.
...perhaps this is part of tfl's plan to further discourage our elder population from attempting to use the rail network by making it impossible to navigate?
-
The Overground rebranding was clever and necessary but it looks like tfl was duped into burning up £6 million in a sequel that nobody wants.
There couldn't have been consultation with the passengers, because everyone who uses the Goblin Line knows it by the name. Now it will be called the Sufragette Line, which is ironic as we had to suffer awful service when it used to be the North London Line.
How can we explain to tourists to take the Weaver Line and the Windrush Line etc. It was confusing beforehand

I do recognise that shapes but I don't know where that goes on the 73

I would buy the Network Rail version (31233?) if Bachmann could get scale, working IR lamps...
... which may not be good for Accurascale's pre orders

That seems a bit scary to have potentially explosive Lithium batteries alongside gallons of diesel...Don't those batteries also require super cooling to prevent degradation?
