Already answered on page 76 here by Fran of Accurascale
'As we explained during the development process we couldn’t etch the polos convincingly due to their design. Moulding them is the only way to capture their 3D nature with finesse.
Cheers!
Fran'

Class 88 please, see them all the time...

Why not put out an EOI like Rails and Accurascale did for the 89 and the like of Revolution trains for their IPA carriers, then take pre order deposits and early bird discounts?

Great to see resources of at least one company wasted on duplicating an obscure prototype. It's not like model prices are high and wasted investment is only going to make things worse, oh well.
I thought that obscure prototypes are more Heljan's thing?

Accurascale must have worked really hard to get that pantograph working on the 92. Others have tried and failed (Bachmann excepted and there's is very good imo)
the 89 would have been a progression of that investment and then any other emu or loco. Hopefully an 88 next .
Don't think an N gauge 89 would be a great idea for detail freaks like Accurascale when for now they can mine gold more easily in OO
For example how about Lab 4 Prometheus?
How about it Accurascale?

If they are taking over tooling, they are going to get artwork as well, so assuming Hattons' designs don't need any money spent attending to them, it's just a question as to whether they think they can sell 504 Pink ONEs before Bachmann does. Hornby is not in this game.

I have a pink one and an orange one to boot. My 2 favs. TBH. Even better was the fact that nobody seemed to want them so I got them at a decent price. My only regret is that I did not buy more of them.
The pink ONE livery was the reason I bought the Hattons model in the first place, however there were the quality control issues - removing and replacing the shell for example and it has to go back.
I guess either Accurascale haven't negotiated the licence from Freightliner yet or they are holding back these liveries for batch 2 - that's okay as I need some time to save up.

Well sir, it is hard to argue with someone when they are brandishing a weapon like that!

There's something about the front of that Class 93...I can't put my finger on it...

Downloaded the HM7000 app
noticed the layout feature
I have a layout design in my eLink - can it be imported into this app?
-
Is Accurascale doing ANY Freightliner liveries?
-
Okay so thanks
-
If any fellow members have a Mark 5 sleeper pack they are happy to let go of please.
-
Perhaps a silly question, there is no mention if the sliding door opens?
-
If anyone wants an EFE 1938 tube stock with directional lighting, there is one on eBay
not bad for 7 coaches

Probably because it would have conflicted with the sleeper branding and confused customers. Also because someone may have wanted to put them on eBay?
-
Hi Fran, are there are any plans for the Freightliner liveries

Is it too soon to ask the question....?

Quality control issues?
Manufacturing slot?
Typo error?

High Speed Diesel Train (HSDT) - The Story continues
in Rapido Trains
Posted
IIRC Rapido withdrew from this project because of escalating production costs.
I wonder if their expected RRP would have been a lot less than Rails RRP for £199?
