Templegate Wagon Works
Bungus the Fogeyman replied to Bungus the Fogeyman's topic in Boxfiles, Micro layouts & Dioramas
Andrew Not a lot in the baseboard construction. 2x1 softwood timber frame with 6mm ply on top. Basically, a bit of string and a pencil to get the radius of the sector plate, cut the curved edge, then attach the sector plate with a screw at the pivot point. Lay the track onto the sector plate ,then attach the casement and its 'stop' (or whatever the stubby bit is called!). You can then line up each track to its respective 'stop' and stick it down. To be honest, its harder to describe than actually do! Hopefully the picture will help....... On another note Templegates 2022 tour continues in St Neots this Saturday, at the Phoenix centre. My star operator the glamourous Cathy and the equally glamourous Ellie (the border collie) will be putting in an appearance in the afternoon, along with my mum!! I think in terms of attendance it has to be noted that, as well as the rail strike, there are decent sized shows at Wigan, Folkestone and Worthing this weekend all of which may have taken a few off the gate especially the last one which is only just along the coast..... On a more personal note, I was somewhat delighted to find the Bill Flude that owned Derwent Road was the same Willie Flude that sold me a Triang super 4 diamond crossing some 40+ years ago when we were both members of the Kettering Grammar School Railway Club! Good to catch up again Will! Disgusting of Market Harborough

Did anybody take any pictures? I was unable to make it (Poppies home to Kidderminster Harriers on the Saturday and Stafford on the Sunday helping the Boss Lady purvey quality transport literature to the masses).... Disgusting of Market Harborough -

Olney MRC Exhibition - 03 September 2022
Bungus the Fogeyman replied to Sentinel's topic in Exhibitions
Well, a fine day was had by all. A big 'Well Done' and thank you to Malc and the chaps and chappesses of Olney MRC for yet another splendid show. One I do every year and indeed am already booked for for next year. People say that you always come away with something from a good show and, despite not being the biggest show in the world, this one doesn't dissapoint! Once again Well Done All!! For those who don't believe Steves comment above (about manning the layout so that he could have five), I believe there is pictorial evidence!! Disgusting of Market Harborough -
Alex I would like to know too, although Phil has been on Faceache with more pressing problems, i.e. finding somewhere for him and his young lady to live on a permanent basis. Hopefully when his domestic situation has sorted itself out, he'll be back modelling...... Disgusting of Market Harborough

Micro Ffarquhar?
Bungus the Fogeyman replied to splodgestudios's topic in Boxfiles, Micro layouts & Dioramas
Why not have a solid 5ft x 1ft9 board, then do away with the point at the LH end of the run round loop, and connect the 2 ends of the run round loop with a slightly longer sector plate. You could also extend the LH siding into a semi low relief building maybe, concealing the Sector plate..... Just a thought Disgusting of Market Harborough -
