  1. Great seeing this at Canterbury today. Whichever one of the team is the teacher outside of the layout operating, thank you for being great talking with our toddler and the excitement of all the different trains!
  2. Thanks Arran, it is and order duly placed
  3. Hi Arran The Tiphook is coming up as only one in stock on c rail website when get to the checkout.
  4. Hi Anthony, I've posted how in the DCC sound forum post on the MX644D. In short, CV8=3 and switch the tiny motherboard switch.
  5. Have you adjusted the tiny switch on the motherboard (switch 3)?
  6. As far as I could tell, yes. It takes a little getting used to and the can lights are via the circuit board switches.
  7. I've had access to a controller again and can confirm the CV8 change works to get bring the Halos to life. Might experiment inline with Nikabd post too later
  8. Thanks GoingUnderground. That's very comprehensive and helpful, cheers. Intend to have a good play at the weekend so if I see anything different I'll let you all know.
  9. Thanks Ron Ron Ron but I was looking for the one that came with the 50210. It's labelled as October 2016 and 4.0.0 on the cover.
  10. Received my 50210 today from Rails of Sheffield...slight problem in that it only comes with a German manual. (ESU site confirms this too). Anyone know how to get an English version please?
  11. The lights work fine with a Loksound chip, once the tiny switch three is moved on the circuit board to position 1. For six function decoders, I was trying a Zimo 634D yesterday and all except Halo were working (again once switch three out in right place). It seems a change to CV8 maybe all that is needed to get the Halos working (i.e. No rewiring) but I can't try as don't have a DCC controller set up at home.
  12. Hi Paul The 634D is 21 pin MTC. The Zimo Manual (page 7) seems to state that it is simply a CV(8) change to make the D a C version. Based on what you've said above that would make the Halos work? I would try it but I don't have access at home to a DCC controller.
  13. Hi John Thanks for that. I was trying earlier with the non-sound 634D version. Reading the Zimo manual of mentions CV8 swapping the functions between logic and normal. Would that achieve the same outcome as your change in wiring? Or in other words, make the chip act in the same way as the Loksound Thanks
  14. is thinking about detailing his bubblecar
