  1. More photos of the livery samples for Southern & FCC/GN now up here. Cheers, Tom.
  2. More photos now up here. Tom.
  3. The fit and overall finish will be improved on the production models so I would expect the gap to not be as noticeable, and to be honest it's not as bad as the massively enlarged photos make it out to be in the flesh, even on these early samples. Tom.
  4. Just editing the pics I took for NGN, so there'll be a few up there later today, but for now.... 🤤 Tom.
  5. Excellent news! Long overdue an updated shed in N Gauge and plenty of livery options/numbers to go around between the 3 manufacturers given the vast number of them on the network! Tom.
  6. I'll double check that's not the case then Cav, will let you know! Cheers, Tom.
  7. I'll have a full review of these wagons up on NGN during next week. Currently in the process of changing jobs and selling/buying property so a bit behind with reviews but I'm hugely impressed by them and will be building up a rake of 21 white versions which will then be weathered to represent a set near the end of their in service life. I have found a few of those I have suffer from droopy couplings and that might cause issues for those that have AWS ramps etc installed, but I've had them running around a loop of unitrack for a good while and haven't suffered any train separation issues. Tom.
  8. Looks like all the 47s, 158s and much of the rolling stock announced are all due to arrive in the next 30 days according to Rails! Tom.
  9. Maersk have announced 10,000 job cuts by the end of 2024 due to decreasing demand for shipping, so it could certainly be a contributory factor to the reduction. Tom.
  10. A couple more class 47s coming from Kernow & Locomotion, the latters first N Gauge release! Royal Class 47s Tom.
  11. Nice work Justin, a great improvement I think! Tom.
  12. I suppose we shouldn't let this set of announcements go by without mentioning something I think is a first, a price reduction! The Class 158's have dropped in price from £284.95 to £259.95 RRP for DCC ready versions, and from £384.95 to £369.95 RRP for the sound fitted versions. Whilst not a massive reduction it's nice to see things go in that direction for a change and kudos to Bachmann for passing it on 😁 Tom.
  13. These are the bogies from the Mk.1 pullman coaches, and they don't fit the standard Mk.1s. The main difference is the NEM coupler attachment being part of the bogie moulding on these where as on the standard Mk.1 the coupling is on a body mounted kinematic system. Tom.
  14. Think it's been the worst kept secret that the 47 would feature an upgraded chassis, so good to see it finally announced. The HRA looks great and one of those EMT 158s will definitely be heading my way! It's really great to see N Gauge now featuring regularly and in volume in these announcements. Tom.
  15. Really impressed with the 128, an all-round excellent model and the performance of the chassis bodes well for future models using it. NGN review now up here Tom.
  16. Livery samples for all three N Gauge versions of Caroline were on display at GETS: More images here Tom.
  17. Those in the first photo are of the same type being produced by Cavalex, and they are doing the all white with no steps versions so you'd be good with those! The VTG ones in the second photo are of a different diagram. Tom.
  18. There are some more images of the production samples now up on NGN here Having had the opportunity to see these close up, I'm extremely impressed by them, and they are certainly up there with the best N Gauge wagons of recent times. A full rake is going to be an impressive site on any layout! I genuinely hope these are a success for Cavalex as they could lead to more N Gauge models from them and at this quality that would be a very welcome development for the N Gauge market! Tom.
  19. I’ve got some ‘proper’ shots of the PGAs that’ll be on NGN later, but I really couldn’t resist posing these beautiful wagons on layout at scaleforum today. They’re just superb! Tom.
  20. This is great news Cav, really looking forward to these arriving! Will you have production samples at Scaleforum this weekend? Cheers, Tom.
  21. Livery samples for the Cartic-4 were on display at TINGS and looking very tasty indeed! A few more images here Tom.
  22. The lighting in the photo booth tends to lighten colours slightly, in the flesh I think Dapol have it pretty much spot on for how I remember the livery. I'd also like to see the later RIO/Pullman livery produced. Since they overlapped it would make for an interesting mixed rake! Tom.
