  1. If they’d done a simple retool of the body and left them as 6pin I’m pretty sure they’d have been released already. I expect they’ll be Next 18 & speaker fitted, most likely with sound fitted options also available at release. Tom.
  2. Just noticed the Bachmann website now carries some images of the paint samples for the Crew Cut 47s, which can be seen here Tom.
  3. From the BCC magazine: livery samples received or awaited : Class 158 (see here for photos of those) Class 450 Class 47 (Crewe Cut) Photos of RES, Colas and Virgin samples shown in the magazine In Production: Class 14 (sound upgrade) 5MT (Sound upgrade) On their way: Class 60 (Sound upgrade) 4F (Sound upgrade) Tom.
  4. Interesting that the final shoe doesn’t appear to do it, but a problem solved by just removing those hideous & unsightly pips from the ends of the tiebar! Tom.
  5. Bachmann had a presence at the Alton show this weekend, most of the new Farish rolling stock announcements were on show and most should be in shops in the next 1-2 months was the word. looking forward to the Freightliner 90 having seen it in the flesh now. Tom.
  6. Likewise! Radio silence on mine so far. Tom.
  7. I was told Q3/Q4 this year at Warley. Highly likely to be more liveries at launch than already announced would be my bet. Tom.
  8. Happy to see the Freightliner 90, order in for one of those! Good to see some freight stock coming through. The National Power HKAs will go well with the Revolution / Dapol 59s and good to see the bogie ballast hoppers back. Tom.
  9. The zanders are lovely little wagons! A mini review is here Tom.
  10. Top of the DC Electric Locomotives section with 46% of the vote and sixth overall. I'd love to see one in N, but for my own safety I have to add after a 25/3 has been done.... Tom.
  11. What refreshing honesty from a manufacturer. Bravo Rapido! I'd like to add that I now have two Class 28s and outside of the minor issues highlighted in the NGN review I haven't experienced any serious issues and both locos run like a dream. Tom.
  12. Bryn's superb Colwyn Bay Goods from the DEFine show this weekend (07 Jan) Tom.
  13. Looks like Colin is retiring, and Union Mills will cease production: Tom.
  14. When you get to the checkout page there is a box for order comments, you could specify in there which lead you require. Failing that I'm sure Wayne wouldn't mind you dropping him a message to check before you order, he's always been exceptionally helpful when I've placed orders. Tom.
  15. Indeed! There is a thread running over on the N Gauge forum for comments / discussion on the results of the NGN poll. https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=58242.30 Tom.
  16. The N Gauge News D&E Poll results are also now published https://bit.ly/3GfheU8 for those interested. Tom.
  17. New update on the IIA-Ds: https://bit.ly/3Q4R2QC Due end of Feb/early March. Tom.
  18. That's good to hear Adam, thanks! Tom.
  19. We’re running a poll for N Gauge D&E models you would like to see produced over on N Gauge News which might provide an indication of popular types modellers would like to see from manufacturers like Revolution in the future. Head on over and cast your vote here: https://www.ngaugenews.com/post/the-n-gauge-news-n-gauge-christmas-wish-list-2022-diesel-electric Poll ends tomorrow so don’t leave it too late! Tom.
  20. I suspect there will be a lot of people holding off until they see EPs and running samples before ordering, given Dapol’s promises about this being their first next gen Steam locomotive, but with no idea what that looks and runs like for the updated price point. If all looks good when we do eventually see EPs then I’ll take the plunge and order, but I want to see how it’s shaping up first. If Dapol make a decent job of it, there’s no reason it shouldn’t sell well given anyone modelling almost any era from 1945 onward can justify one with the number preserved and on the mainline, but they need to stop faffing around and get it made! Tom.
  21. Kudos to Rapido for the investigation & explanation on the issue 👏 Tom.
  22. NGN review is now up here Tom.
  23. They’re inline. Presumably a compromise decision? Tom.
  24. Sorry...... In the process of having a proper look over mine for a review, but have to say first impression is these are bloody lovely. Tom.
  25. Looks like you are, yes. I'm sure if you ping Rapido a quick message they'll be able to sort you out with a spare. Tom.
