  1. They’re inline. Presumably a compromise decision? Tom.
  2. Sorry...... In the process of having a proper look over mine for a review, but have to say first impression is these are bloody lovely. Tom.
  3. Looks like you are, yes. I'm sure if you ping Rapido a quick message they'll be able to sort you out with a spare. Tom.
  4. ESU. It is in the instructions under the 'How to fit a DCC Decoder' section. Tom.
  5. Correct, completely fictitious. D5705 did see use by the Research Division as S15705 in the tribology test train, but was replaced by a Class 24 before it could be painted into the red and blue livery. Tom.
  6. Well that's a pleasant surprise, and a very welcome release! A rake of 5 has been duly ordered, to hell with the Turkey..... Tom.
  7. I can confirm that is Facebook Bollo*ks! Pick up is from all five axles. Tom.
  8. Correct, info on which area of the country they are available in is here I sourced my executive liveried 31423 from Cheltenham Model Centre. Tom.
  9. 31s have arrived, just been billed for 31423. Tom.
  10. Should be more than enough room, although to be honest the performance was such that unless you’re doing super slow shunting over dead frog pointwork it probably doesn’t need any! Tom.
  11. It replaces the circuit board on the left hand side in the photos in the review. Tom.
  12. Just in the process of mashing words together for the NGN review of the 28, but it certainly has a quirky charm about it! Review should be up this evening. Tom.
  13. It's certainly the intention to run a poll for N Gauge Steam, and indeed wagons and coaches, in the future but it became evident pretty quickly that subject is significantly more complex than D&E types, so it will be compiled over the course of the year and be run around the same time in 2023. In truth, output in N Gauge probably doesn't justify a comprehensive yearly poll anyway, so splitting it up in to separate parts and rotating through them over 2 or 3 years probably makes sense. The reason for running the poll this year was primarily a bit of fun, but also because we haven't had one for N Gauge since 2019, so it's also interesting to see what N Gauge modellers (modern image on this occasion) would like to see produced. I've already had some very useful feedback on how to make the N Gauge poll more valuable to manufacturers in the future so hopefully it can become a useful resource for N Gauge. Through compiling the N Gauge D&E poll for NGN, I certainly have massive respect for the time and effort the OO Gauge team put in to it! Tom.
  14. A shame, but not surprising given the problems in China at the moment. Looking forward to this one whenever it arrives! Tom.
  15. They are moulded in a stronger plastic for robustness, probably POM, but the down side of that is that it apparently doesn’t take factory applied paint particularly well. The Class 319 is the same. Tom.
  16. Ah, I'm with you now. Yes, It'll be interesting to see what they do about that, if anything, as the current models have no means for accommodating a coupling at the pointy end! Tom.
  17. They have the buffer fitted version in the tooling suite, although I don't think it has the correct cooler group for the RA locos so likely to be a compromise there. Tom.
  18. Super work Jerry! Looks fantastic! Tom.
  19. The good news from Warley is the 90s will be here before Christmas (well, good news except to the wallet!) Production samples were on display in the members area and they really do look excellent. In the flesh the pantograph and roof detail look fine with the exception of the insulators not being painted but the reason why has been explained. Tom.
  20. Had the chance to look over the N Gauge FNA-D at Warley. Promises to be another excellent model! More images here Tom.
  21. Couldn’t fit the unit end to end in the mobile photo studio! however: There wasn’t any of the circuitry in this sample but it shouldn’t be much more of a gap on the production versions than seen here. Tom.
  22. Indeed it should. The perils of posting updates whilst wandering around the NEC! Corrected now, thanks Bernard! Tom.
  23. There's no indication they have tooled the centre car, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have. Perhaps they're waiting to see how the 158 sells first before pushing go on the 159? Tom.
  24. Word from Warley was both the 28 and conflats will be here before Christmas. Tom.
